Keep on rockin', Macca. Can't wait to see you next month at CitiField.

Seeing him at Citifield next month too.

When I was a young boy, whenever I heard the phrase "McCarthyism" I always thought it involved Paul McCartney.

True Story

damn, 67? really? i was just listening to RAM today, great album. good job, paul.

Happy Birthday Sir McCartney!

Did anybody see him and Ringo at the E3?
They really seemed as if they didn't care to be there.

Since this is sort of the Paul McCartney thread...

I saw him at Citi Field last night (and as a Yankees fan, even I think the Mets' new stadium is really nice!), and the show was great. Lots of Beatles songs, and a lot of his new stuff, which is really good.

We even had an appearance by Billy Joel - Paul appeared at Billy's last concert at the late Shea Stadium last year, so Billy returned the favor this year to play "I Saw Her Standing There" with Paul. That was cool. The crowd went nuts.

He did his tributes to John, George, and Linda - even broke up a bit on the song for Linda. He played "Here Today" for John, and "Something" on the ukelele for George. And no, there was no mention of Michael Jackson last night.

Funny moment after he played Born in the USSR, he was about to start another song when he was drowned about by one of the nearby takeoffs at JFK. He looked up at the plane and said "No, we already played that one!" :oldrazz:

There were also some really cool pryotechnics and fireworks during "Live and Let Die." Got some great pictures of that.

I've seen Paul twice before (3x if you count the Billy Joel show last year), but I got to hear some Beatles stuff live that I hadn't before: Helter Skelter during the encores, Get Back, A Day in the Life/Give Peace a Chance, Drive My Car, and Paperback Writer.

But it was a great show. Had an awesome time, even though my voice is still out from singing along to "Hey Jude." :yay:

Hehe, "Born"? I think you might be getting a little to warmed up for Bruce in September. :oldrazz:

I'll be seeing Paul Tuesday. I'm looking forward to an awesome show. I've never seen him before, but by all evidence he is an awesome performer.

Ooops. What can I say...I got home late from the concert and was up early to see Harry Potter yesterday. I can't expect to remember everything! :oldrazz:

Damn it, this thread gave me a shock upon first glance. Am I the only one who's been assuming the worst when seeing a thread about a celebrity?
