'Happytime Murders' starring The Muppets

I can see why critics are doing that. This movie was pretty awful. It just lazily reuses Noir cliches or is trying to be shockingly raunchy. It does nothing else. Also, I found this movie to be criminally unfunny. It had some decent jokes mixed in there, but largely it is just "Hey, puppets don't normally do that!!!" type comedy. It's just not funny.

Watched this earlier today and I'm surprised that I ended up liking it quite a bit. This was really obnoxious and off putting at the beginning tho. I mean none of the jokes were landing and I felt like I was wasting time on this dreck. At times (especially during the porn shop part) I felt this was an inside job to sabotage the careers of the director/producers, lmao. Like, who in their right mind would greenlit something so egregiously bad like this??

It's not like the movie hit a home run by the end but I definitely feel that it had a satisfying conclusion and I had fun watching it. I may even re-visit this in future.
