Is Sarah cast in the new batman movie? We’ve heard a rumor :
I’m an independent filmmaker [ writer / producer ]: "I had been talking back and forth with one of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s reps about a role in a new film I start shooting in May. It was always a long shot, and we did get the run around for quite a while, but eventually, they expressed a morsel of interest. Never did speak to her though. Unfortunately, yesterday we were informed that she wouldn’t be able to do it; because there might be a clash with ’Batman’. Seemed like a fight we wouldn’t win, so gave up on that one."

I can think of MUCH better actresses for the part but she'd be okay I guess. At least she'd help attract a new crowd.

If she's in TDK she'll probably only be a doctor. If so I hope it's only a *subtle* hint to her corruption at the movie's end, just a strange smile or comment when she's talking to her Mr.J so we think 'okay somethings not right here'. Have that and a Two-Face lead-up and you've got a killer ending.

I think forget about this film being any good if Harley Quinn is in it. I suppose after losing Katie Holmes, the franchise lost it's slice of cheap, cheesy teenybopper acting and they are trying to replace it. Hence the reason Ryan Phillipe was also mentioned. They must of been thinking of naming the film Batman : Cruel Intentions...I kinda liked that title. Shame.

I really don't know if there's room for Harley in the film. With Joker, Maroni, Dent and possibly Scarecrow, is there room to develop a character like Harley Quinn as a psychiatrist who falls for Mr J and becomes his Moll?

I think Harley is a great character, and I would love to see her in the films. Do I want Harley Quinn in the Dark Knight? Not really - but I wouldn't complain.

That's why I think it'd be better as a cameo, possibly to be developed later. Even if it's something as small as her walking into the Joker's room at the very end of the film, it'd be nice to see her. but no, i dont think she should actually have a featured part just yet.

I agree - ideally it would be a small, small - cameo-type role, with the possibility of being built up in BB3. But I would have no problems at all if she was included in TDK.

But for me even the name Harleen Quinzell just sounds too fake and man made if you know what I mean. Even Harleen Quinn sounds better. I would just prefer it if they left her out. Sorry to sound all Damien Dork here.

eh, never liked SMG...her face is al f**ked up and she cant act. between this and katie homes, i hope Nolan isnt turning into one of those directors who rule at casting, except for when it comes to women, where they fail terribly.

i think the more nods to characters the better...just kinda like cameos that will get an extension later in some form.

I'm 50:50 on Harley as a character. She's great in TAS, and Mad Love is an excellent story, but I haven't been convinced by her appearances in the regular DC universe. i also kinda agree with vibeke T's sig.
Is it Zooey Descahanal that is the fan fave for the role if it does come up? What about Brittany Murphy? She could pull it off.

If Harley was in TDK for sure I think Brittany Murphy would do it very well, shes like a young Patricia Arquette. You could imagine her getting beat up and just laughing, like in the hotel scene in True Romance. That would be great casting.

This is as old as dirt.... she won't be in... how many actors with with quotes in tabloid or radio stations mentioned they had plans on working with Nolan or Bale or had upcoming roles in what were hinted at to be "no doubt about it" characters in TDK... ofcourse none of those rumors nor this will ever pan out... it is just not happening

Don't forget we will be getting Two-Face in this film now too and who knows for how long. Originally we weren't supposed to be getting Two-Face until the supposed 3rd film(according to Goyer) but now he will be in TDK. So yea, I don't really see much room for her except for as a cameo working at Arkham or something.

Harley Quinn is the most useless character ever invented in the Batman mythos.Aside from the fact that the Joker shouldn't have a sidekick-especially a girlfriend sidekick.

No Harley Quinn.

I'll throw this name out there(not sure if she has been mentioned) even though I don't believe HQ will be in the film. She's hardly an actress(but was in The Aviator) and it's too bad b/c looks wise I think she is great.
