Harley Quinn, where to start?

I have recently been more and more into Batman graphic novels and my girlfriend has also been reading them and has decided she want's to get into Harley Quinn, I know Harley has got some issues and I think a series of her own and I was wondering where would be the best place to start? Leaning more towards the side of graphic novels but comics would be fine as well.

Mad Love the comic by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm is the best place to start. Also, watch the episodes Mad Love, Harlequinade, Harley's Holiday, Harley and Ivey. Joker's Favor is her debut all of them from Batman: The Animated Series. The New 52 series is also pretty good as far as modern Harley goes. The first trade of Suicide Squad has some pretty good Harley moments too and if you can find it Batman: Harley Quinn by Paul Dini and Yvel Guichet is a very good book.
