Harry Potter Book 7 [SPOILERS-ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!]

What makes me laugh is you have to know that the little goblin that tried so hard at Gringott's to get it away from Harry is pissed that it reverted by to its true master, Godric, and now lies in the hat that Neville pulled it out off.

It kind of made the whole Goblin ancestry subplot pointless though, didn't it? Undoubtedly that will be cut from the film.

I can't see the movie focusing that much on the actual Hallows. I imagine the title "Deathly Hallows" will just be made out as a reference to the Horcruxes. That, or this is gonna be one long potterfilm.

More than anything it takes the sword away from them for most of the second half of the book. Also, it reinforces the whole "even good people may do bad things" with the ambiguity of whether Godric stole it. It certainly serves a purpose, but if they're going to cut things for time it might as well be that.

They may just cut out the entire Gringotts break-in and have the the real sword get put away and the trio never get to it. Think of some new way to get Hufflepuff's cup. Then Neville pulling the sword out of the hat is the first time it appears.

I'd personally drop the fact that they lost the sword. For me, its too important to the (potentially beautiful) frozen lake scene with the 'S' locket and is needed really to destroy the horcuxes.

If it were me, I'd drop the goblin plot, but definitely keep the Gringotts breakout scene. I mean it is a breakout whilst riding a dragon. AWESOME!

Also if Neville pulling the sword out of the hat is the first time we see it, for me it would de-value its worth. People who haven't seen the second film might not get what the sword is about. For Harry to weild it and then lose it for Neville to prove himself worthy of using it is the way forward for me.

Think of some new way to get Hufflepuff's cup.

I figured when Dobby rescues the trio from Malfoy Manor, before he dies, he could hand Harry the cup (probably stolen from Bellatrix's private possessions).

Why don't you shut up.

WTF?!?

Am I not entitled to an opinion? So what, I reckon some things shouldn't be left out of the adaptation. Is that good enough reason to be rude? Why don't you justify your statement or are you just content to spout utter sh* t?

Actually if they do drop the Gringotts scene, that would be a great way to work around it, making Dobby more heroic, and making his death more tragic. I'd keep the burial scene if possible, but that would probably go too.

That'd also keep the fact that Bellatrix effectively lost the horcrux, so it wouldn't be THAT dissimilar to the books.

No, no I don't think he was talking to you. Obviously the posts of the spammer have been deleted. :o

Exactly. It's similar to the scenes in the book, but changed a little to make adapting it a bit easier.

iya

I would have liked to have found out what Harry did as a job -- I always thought they would let us in on that. But I spose it would be telling more story, rather than rapping it up.

They all lived happily ever after, had plenty of sex and babies.

I think the film will have less camping in it, and I don't think Luna's house will be in it.

I agree, and just in case you haven't read, Harry and Ron became revolutionary Aurors, and the pimp that is Kinglsey Shacklebolt became MoM.

Cool :)

I will read the book for a second time -- the first time I just concentrate on enjoying it. The next time I read it I'll get a better idea of what should and shouldn't be in the film.

Harry and Ron revolutionised the Auror department and Hermione became pretty high up in the magic law department.

i thought the ending of the book was pretty rushed :( but still good :)

Is it true that JK Rowling might make another in a few years?

No, not you. Someone spammed up the thread and alot of the hype. It seems that all his posts were deleted.

Sorry if that post seemed like it was aimed towards you.
