Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows

So guys, coming from someone who has never read the full books but knows how it all ends, (and honestly, who doesn't?), is there enough left for Part 2 to have a 2-and-a-half hour running time? Loved the movie, by the way.
Yeah, I'd say so. There's enough stuff in the rest of the book to stretch it out. They'll probably get back to Hogwarts about a half hour into the movie, and it's all downhill from there.

Just got back, and it was honestly the first adaptation that I've actually been fully satisfied with. The filmmakers bent over backwards to be faithful to the book, and pulled it off very well. I can't wait to see part two.

Emma Watson looked so freaking hot in that makeout scene!!:woot:

OH MY GOD THAT WAS AMAZING
:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

100/10

I was also glad to note that
desplat DID start the film with hedwig's theme.

I cant judge this film seeing that I've only seen half of it. But I must say. This is definitely on a larger scale then the others and everything was exactly how i imagined it right out of the book. Dobby and Kreacher Tag-team FTW!

I don't want to list my problems with this part right now, because I really do love it, and ther is so much to love. The material that works, as is usually the case with this series, works SO, SO well. This is certainly the closest a Harry Potter film has been to its book since CoS, and I am never one to think the movie should replicate the book, but there are many scenes that are exciting in part because they are so close to their book counterparts, with dialogue taken straight out and quite well.

Acting-wise, there was no weak link, there rarely is, but I really think Emma did some outstanding work here. I've always loved her (um...as an actress...too), but this is a huge leap forward; Part 1 is basically hers.

Yeah it was awesome but i missed the Lupin in Grimwauld Place scene. Kinda pivitol part for Harry.

I've been waiting for a full-on faithful film adaptation of a Harry Potter book and DH really delivered. There were parts that felt kind of slow but I didn't mind it one bit because I knew it was for a good reason.

Looking back at the films especially when Michael Gambon assumed the role of Dumbledore after the passing of Sir Richard Harris, I still remember when people hated the look of Gambon's Dumbledore when I thought he really went and made it his own. And delivered on all fronts. He's been brilliant ever since I say. When I started reading PS and CoS, I followed the lines with Gambon in mind and not Harris actually. The same when I read a couple of the James Bond books with Daniel Craig in mind a while back.

How does everybody feel about Gambon since PoA and could anybody actually describe their opinions as to what if Harris were still alive had he still continued to play the character today?

Oh, and I loved the movie from start to finish. It's a 10/10 for me too.
Loved the scene in the Courtroom with Harry reminding Umbridge never to tell lies while in the form of Albert Runcorn and then, STUPEFY!!! :D

And yeah that vision from Voldemort to Ron with a partially naked Harry and Hermione taunting him was a little over the top but I had no qualms over it.

Definitely the most polished Harry Potter film yet. Imo the best since the first one.

theres no room to improver acting wise for anyone. they were all effin awesome. beautfiul cinematography, awesome action, dobby owned...only problem i had was the big drag in the middle. really liked it though. especially the silver doe/locket scene. omfg hermione...these arent kids movies anymore. i was seriously turned on!

Hermione [BLACKOUT]pretty much naked [/blackout] surprised me like crazy...but was so awesome on an epic scale.

gambon WAS dumbledore in poa, too agressive in gof, finding a decent balance in ootp, and good in hbp.

which brings me to snape...perfect in every movie...but very upset rickman used his indoor voice during his big scene in hbp.

So glad to see everyone loved it. I've been browsing other forums, and the reaction seems to be the same. :woot:

Just under 12 hours until I see it!

Damn it, I missed a midnight showing of the movie, and it's always best to see these movies with those kinds of fans.
Oh well, as long as it's great!

That shocked me too. :wow:

My cinema was 75% under 12 seriously, the Potter films are marketed as kids stuff in my country...

I heard screams when the [BLACKOUT]snake launched at your face[/BLACKOUT]

Good, it'll grow 'em up faster. :awesome: Every child needs to see a half naked girl and a snake lunging at them as a rite of passage.

[BLACKOUT]Zip me up[/BLACKOUT] was erotic as well. Dangit...
