Has Anyone Eaten At Denny's Before?

And don't expect great service of remotely pleasant people. I found a three foot long hair in my shrimp scampi once.

Eww...

...and not because you had a hair in your shrimp scampi, but because you ordered shrimp scampi...at Dennys.

I'm thinking about getting dinner from there, the meatloaf sounds good.

any suggestions from you guys?

is it possible to get your meals to go?

Its not bad for a franchise. I would only get breakfast though which is pretty good.

Who goes for anything other than Breakfast?

I agree with Showtime. I don't even know if my local Denny's has shrimp scampi on the menu, but that's not exactly something I'd be quick to order from them. The nachos at Denny's suck. That's a dish I once assumed was impossible to screw up, but Denny's proved me wrong.

The scampi wasn't that bad. Well, until the hair thing. Unfortunately my friends and I were laughing so hard that I dropped it on the floor (where I could not find it amidst the other detritus) and could not collect my free meal.

Funny story.

We were in there one night at about 2 AM, and this older gentleman comes in...half drunk or stoned or...something. He orders a Grand Slam breakfast and a steak on the side. So he eats the steak...and he eats the Grand Slam breakfast, he just inhales the thing. And then, after he's eaten the breakfast, he pours syrup on his napkin and eats IT. And the waitress comes along and she's like "Is there anything else I can get for you today"? And the guy is all "I believe that you still owe me a Grand Slam breakfast". He literally couldn't remember just eating the breakfast. They got into this huge, loud argument with his plates sitting right there. It was great.

Shrimp scampi and Denny's don't belong the same sentence. Unless you're saying "don't get the shrimp scampi at Denny's"

Denny's got some good ass breakfast. IHOP and Waffle House is better though. God forbid you go to Denny's for anything other than breakfast.

Oh, don't get me started on Waffle House. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm telling you, at the ones that I've gone too, they make the best eggs in the world. I usually get some cheese on that. Then the hashbrowns (sometimes, with onions and cheese), and those waffles...

I actually went to IHOP last night around 2 am after the club.

That's the only time I used to go to Denny's back when I lived in Florida. In the Tampa and Orlando areas, the goths would go eat there after clubbing. It was fun.

But - no Denny's here in Atlanta. :csad:

None in Athens, either. Closest one to me is in Commerce.

When I used to live in Michigan a huge group of us would take up pretty much the entire smoking section of the Novi Denny's from about 10/11pm to 3/4 am. It may have been a "sad" place to hang out, but we had some pretty fun times there. I miss it sometimes.

yeah, everything else is nasty

actually there burgers and sandwiches are pretty decent tooo least the ones here in LA...

now theres a restraunt called NORMS here, not sure where else they are.. but there food made me sick :(

At the Denny's restaurants I've been to:

Food: Expensive fast food. And it's not even cooked very quickly at all.

Service: Old, racist ladies who ***** and complain nonstop, who also don't give a damn about you or the quality of the service they provide for you.

Atmoshphere: Makes me feel like I'm in the middle of a trashy, redneck version of one of those '60s restaurants. I love the '60s restaurants, but not the trashy, redneck versions:cmad:.
