well now im scared
These part of the article stands out:
"There are still plenty of uncertainties — the beam could pass harmlessly to the side if we are not exactly on the axis, and nobody is even sure if stars like WR 104 are capable of producing a fully-fledged gamma-ray burst in the first place," Tuthill explained.
That's no moon...
it had to be said, sorry!
Jeez,..it's always something else about to kill us in a few years..
I'm honestly too lazy and/or busy to care about something that is going to kill me that's completely out of my hands. If the world blows up tommorow, whatever. Nothing I could have personally done to change it. Meh.
That's ok, I doubt it's armed or even fully operational.
many bothans died to give us this information
Gamma rays? Well, we obviously have nothing to worry about then, as even if this does happen, we'll simply turn into a planet of Hulks. The only change that would have to be made is that we'd have to smash-proof all our buildings and automobiles.
I've got a bad feeling about this.
Pretty much. :/
Internet Translation: I'm scared ****less.
ok everyone on the planet needs to stand side by side and jump at the same exact time so we can knock earth out of the way of the blast, but to accomplish this we need world peace, in short we are screwed.
I got 2 torpedoes to fire right up it's exhaust port.
Look at the size of that thing!
You can't win. But there are alternatives to fighting.
The end is near, indeed.
Round up the Ewoks, we're winning this b-tch.
Gotta watch Star Wars now
Who knew there would be a star wars reference in the apocalypse.
Why is everything in Space trying to kill us...
It's like being in a crowd and bumping into somebody. Except the results are really devastating.
It probably is, either way,
we cannot repel fire power of that magnitude
...and yet it never does. Hmmm...
