Has the INTERNET made us less HUMAN-LIKE?

I wonder why we socialise when all we do is lie, steal, & cheat each other. What is the point of being social?

...I'm assuming you've had some horrible experiences.

It's a human thing. On top of those we also have fun, get f**ked up and live for each other.

Anyhoo yeah, the internet has the potential to make us less human-like, but only if we let it. As in, someone almost never leaving their house and always posting on message boards. :o It can definitely dumb down social skills since everything is just a google search away, there's almost no need to actually interact with an actual person ever.

You should have SuperSarge babies together and you'll make the first intranets baby. :o

So, what do you like talking about?

Also, I like time to myself too, but we're social creatures. I'd kill myself if I could never interact face to face with other human beings.

I can talk about animals, comics, movies, RPG's, stuff that I'm interested in. I can even talk politics, science and religion with some people, but only if they're not going to go all psycho on me when I state a different opinion. I enjoy the company of friends, but there are times I need to break away on my own and decompress.

Classic introvert. That's what the internet is great for, all the talk with none of the BS. :o I've found a nice balance but I still get f**king drained if I'm out too long.

This is obviously the way of the future; but is it good for us..?:csad:

It's not good to sit in front of a computer all day and you really have to find the right balance.

Also , Farmville will definately make anyone less human-like .
