I put this in the spoiler section as it deals with dialogues in the film and TV spots... particularly about freedom and war and the WAR is upon us and how Wolverine tells the students that they may not make it back alive and stuff as they are in for the biggest battle of their life and almost make it like as if they were soldiers...
with that in mind... has anyone of you EVER in ANY circumstance thought that this had to do with WAR and FREEDOM IN TERMS OF PROMOTING PROPAGANDA?? As in drumming up support for the IRAQ WAR or some crap like this?
a friend of mine just saw these trailers and said: "i don't like the way films these days AND FROM THE LOOK OF THIS FILM, they're all about Freedom and WAR and such... seems like a lot of propaganda... Especially since it's a Fox Studios movie"
Jesus I had to basically verbally *****slap my friend multiple times back to tokyo to get him to realize just how far off he was... after completely whipping the crap out of him verbally, he then started just changing topics to Superman.
So I ask you, have any of you EVER at all under any circumstance ever felt a VIBE like my friend's above about this film at all from the trailers? I NEVER once have but i found it to be such an interesting if not ******ed point of view that I wanted to know your folks' thoughts since this is a rather political board as well.
