Have the same teams ever played NCAA championships in both football and basketball?

In the same year, of course. Just sort of curious as it seems there is a chance of that happening with Flordia and Ohio State.

Florida and Georgetown better play for it.

That is all. :)

How you been, Matt?

Not too bad, my friend.

Not too bad.

To answer your question, no, I've never heard of that. It's extremely rare if it does happen.

I could live with that so long as Georgetown wins

It's fate, they're just playing out how the 82 season shoulda went, before Jordan got involved :woot::oldrazz:

Oh, and Matt, I'm pretty sure it has never happened...and hopefully never will ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing Florida whip Ohio State again.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Florida whip anyone, so....

:arm chomp:

I have Florida and GTown in the finals. With Florida winning, 87-74.

If Fla or GTown get in... I win the NCAA pool. =)) =))

There's never really been an NCAA championship in football so no. Before the BCS it was really up to writers to vote who they thought was the best out of who wins their respective bowls. The flaw in that system is that #1 and #2 hardly met.

I guess we could talk about the BCS but that came out in the '98-'99 season.

So, yes, there is a chance of this happening for the first time in history.
