The company is having a dinner soon. I haven't been with the company a month and I'm not making nice with the guys on the job...but I'm going,free seafood and drinks. I'm a loner not an idiot. Although I made a deal with one of my co workers that I'd go if he went,we're both drinkers so this should be a night to remember.

It's not even so much the phsyical aspect of being alone without friends in a crowded place. It's more so feeling alone in a crowded room, even with people you know around you, that really sucks.

Yeah I'll be at a dinner function with people I don't know and have absolutely no connection to. And if that co worker does show I will still feel alone...well until the alcohol takes effect.

try being in a room full of hearing people while you are deaf, sometimes it's no fun at all especially if they don't know how to face me or get angry if I ask them to repeat what they say
