Hawkeye Hawkeye General Discussion Thread

Yes really! You can't say this has the same tone as Loki which in turn didn't have the same tone as WandaVision and the WhatIf series is bringing a whole new vision. There really is something for everyone which is what I love about Marvel.

It's okay to disagree, but this is how I feel about it :-)

Just... Don't kill the Barton family. Yeah, they aren't from 616 but I would hate an Ultimates retread at this point.
Considering they all just died in Endgame and this show looks fairly light in tone I think the Barton family is going to be safe.

My bigger question is how's Clint's daughter going to feel about Kate being his protege, especially since he was giving her some archery lessons at the beginning of Endgame? It's just another complication of Hawkeye having a family.

And you would be 100% correct.

There are certain posters who flit around from thread to thread dumping on every MCU offering without providing a scintilla of reasoning or logic to support their totally unbiased opinion. It's best to ignore them.

Dude, don’t leave your short, nondescript opinion in the thread, play the “It’s just my opinion, bro” card, and then act indignant or stick your nose up when someone genuinely expresses positivity toward something you don’t. It’s getting old.

This ain’t Reddit, bro.

And “certain posters” seem to also frequent Reddit, which makes their posts and posting style make a lot more sense.

The absense of Linda Cardellini in the trailer make me feel there is some open argument between Clint and Laura about his actions as Ronin.

Probably. Until we saw him on the phone saying "Hey babe, I should be back in a day or two", I thought that they might have split after seeing him with the kids without Laura in the beginning of the trailer.

He's worse on reddit if you can believe that.

Not enough Lucky the Pizza Dog.

Other than that, not too bad.

It's all subjective. Don't have to like everything. Example, I have not watched What If? outside than the first two episodes, because it's animation and I am not a big animation fan. Rick and Morty and Invincible are my regular animated shows. If I scroll through the channel and South Park is on, I'll watch it, but I usually don't. I don't watch any of the Fox Animated shows except for Bob's Burgers when it's on when I get to Fox (although the constant changes in the time slot make me not watch it regularly). I usually give new shows a chance, doesn't matter if it's Marvel or not.

I love how each Marvel series is offering a different tone. It's not the same thing on repeat.
I agree with this. WandaVision is a sitcom through the ages, TFATWS is a buddy cop series, Loki is a Doctor Who kind of show and What If?! is an animated Twilight Zone.

I've really enjoyed the variety we've gotten so far, even if I thought The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was just alright.

The most depressing sitcom of all time. :csad:

Lucky is probably going to end up as my favorite character in this whole series.

Trust me, I’ve seen it. It put everything into perspective.

I can handle dissenting, well-reasoned opinions. I can’t abide by people dipping in and out of threads for things they don’t even like just to get a rise out of people without any intention of actually contributing to the discussion proper.

The issue is the user in question pretty much trolls every thread about the MCU. He does the same thing on reddit too. It's beyond personal likes/dislikes at this point.
This makes me sad. It must take so much mental energy to be that negative.

Well, it comes to me effortlessly, I just become cynical when I read again about how the next MCU production is new, fresh and reminiscent of some cult movie or tv series, you really have to reach far to have Die Hard vibes from this trailer.

Not enough of the dog is my only issue with the trailer. That's pretty much it.
