Drama HBO's Euphoria

Considering some of the actresses have asked to tone down the nudity and an actor stepped in to tone down the female nudity, I fully expect Barbie had some type of argument that just didnt go as well as the others have.

Cassie going cray cray on Nate and the Cal family rant were the highlights.

Random actress nudity seems to be way down across a lot of shows post 'Me Too movement'. Possibly actresses feel more empowered to turn down nude scenes.

I think it is Nate's unavailability that is pathologically appealing to Cassie. I feel sad for her.

Regarding Kat, I have been missing more scenes with her. If the actress had indeed a beef with the creator, I hope he doesn't punish the character. I think Kat is great.

And I don't know about you guys but I'm constantly worried about Rue overdosing. I mean, Zendaya has become such a big star that I am a little affraid she might move on.

Hope not.

Yeah, I would hate to see him scrap storylines for Kat if they did have a falling out. One thing I’m noticing this season though is that the episodes have more of a shared focus than last season, which could be resulting in some characters getting the shaft. The first season seemed to kinda go the “Lost” route and spotlight one particular character each time. This time though we’ve gotten some deeper insights into certain characters but I wouldn’t say any episode felt like it centered on one particular character. Maybe the premiere and Fezco but that’s about it.

Ok, but we can all agree that she is killing it, right?

Porn star, Chloe Cherry (24), plays Faye on Euphoria and discusses a scene in Episode 1 where she's being stuffed into a vent trying to hide from police. It was the very first scene she shot with her co-star, Tyler Custer.

“We just met and said, ‘Hey, how are you?’ and then shot the scene,” Cherry said.. “It probably would’ve been more comfortable had we had a little more time to know each other. Sam wanted to do the scene with me completely naked and Tyler was like, ‘That’s a lot,’ so they decided not to. But I was covered in fake blood and just felt so good being on set.”

I’ll admit, that’s one character we could spend less time with. She doesn’t really add anything to the show.

I saw this online: have you guys noted that, in that montage of Rue and Jules, most of the movie references there ends with one of the lovers dying (Titanic, Ghost, Brokeback Montain), and that Rue is taking the roles of the ones who died?

Yeah, saw that too. Certainly adds some fuel to the theory that
Rue is dead and that’s how she’s able to talk about so many things in this show that she (normally) would know nothing about.

I have a feeling something is going to happen this season.

...from the trailers, sadly it looks like Fez is either sacrificing himself for Ashtray's killing of that drug dealer, with his life or prison.

If 'All For Us' wasn't the "stairway to heaven" for Rue, then I don't see a death for her anytime soon. She's definitely going to hit more lows, but I believe her getting healthy/sober in the finale will be the good inverse to S1's ending.

Lots of weird speculation online this week about the third kid in that photo that Cal took. Some people are speculating that the youngest Jacobs son is Ashtray. LOL

I’m honestly not sure what happened to the third brother but I’m not actually sure if the youngest kid in the picture is the missing one. Doing the math here and assuming the show takes place in 2019 (when it premiered) then that would mean that Nate was born in 2001-2002. We know that Cal got Marsha pregnant with their oldest son (presumably unless she miscarried or had an abortion) in… 1995, I think? That’s quite a bit of time to wait to have a second kid. Not impossible and perhaps they waited a while to get themselves set financially but just generally speaking most people don’t wait that long in between children. I’m thinking that Nate is actually the youngest kid in the picture and the brother we’ve seen is middle one, meaning that the oldest son is the unknown one. But maybe I’m off on this?

I don't understand how did this become a thing now? We've seen the same picture in the very first episode, showing 3 kids, and we're later introduced to only two of them. How does that become a mystery just now?

I think this is irrelevant. Or some people know some spoiler and want to play smart ass.

But there's nothing in this picture we don't know since the pilot.

It was shown in the pilot but people speculated that it was a mistake or something that was changed after the pilot (this tends to happen with TV shows; pilots often are filmed well before the remainder of the season and things are changed/characters are written out). And I believe a producer even said it was mistake when asked about it back then. But the picture re-emerging (and unaltered) has people speculating now.

...my best guess was Nate babysat the 3rd kid and the kid drowned in the pool (or something) and that's why Cal hates Nate beyond the whole "I know your secret" of it all.

Awesome. Now hopefully they get the season underway quickly before all of these actors start aging to the point where they can’t believably pass as high school students.

I hope we don't have to wait that long for another season.

I know it was due covid, but season 1 was back in 2019.

Some of them already look like they should at least be freshmen or sophomores in college.

Well. That was quite an episode tonight. I feel like Sam Levinson was scripting this out and just said to himself, “What if we do the end of Ferris Bueller, but with heroin withdrawal and cops?”

Very strong episode and tour-de-force from Zendaya...but sort of a lame ending. Rue ends up trapped in Laurie's home and it looks like she'll be there for awhile...only for her to escape right before the end of the episode anyway? I at least expected Rue to at least be there through the end of the episode and maybe flee at the start of the next one. Or we spend more time with her there.

I... I think I'm gonna need some time to process this episode. This is probably one of most emotionally intense episodes I've seen in my life. I can't even explain all the emotions I felt.

Fantastic Emmy tape for Zendaya.

On a side note, I can't believe she told and screwed Cassie like that. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Damn, what an episode!
