ok so this may be a new question but i got my original xbox 360 back when i was a junior in hs, which was about 2 years ago and over that time i've had to send it back two times one for the video card being messed up and the other time would be because of the RROD. Would i have the HDMI port or would have to buy a new 360 just to use the HDMI? that would completely suck!!

i did and the port wasn't there, so im gunna guess the one i have is outdated?

probably you could use the wires that make it hdmi i have one and it works great

Yeah, you're going to get back the same type of model you send them. I bought mine summer of 2006. It RROD'd over the summer and I got back a refurbished one that was exactly the same (no HDMI).

that sucks. My 58" Plasma don't recognize the Component cables as 1080p, so it throws at me 1080i................. I WANT 1080P DAMN IT.......

1080p gaming is pretty awesome.

There's no going back for me, really. 1080i a'int so bad, though.

this is true, in fact they have a brand new motherboard specially made with NO HDMI port to fit in the older style cases for those who send in ones for the RROD repair.

what is the best way to get an xbox 360 with HDMI if I already have the originail XBOX 360 (no HDMI)??

Sell your current one on Craigslist and buy the cheapest one off Amazon. Though the loss you'll take isn't worth the upgrade from Component to HDMI. I've done HDMI and Component on my TV with the PS3 and it's pretty much the same.

HDMI is a bit sharper than component on the 360. The PS3's anti-aliasing method tends to blur the edges of things a bit more regardless of whether you use HDMI or component, but the 360 has a noticeable increase in sharpness going from component to HDMI, at least to me. But it's not major, and it's certainly not worth losing a bunch of money selling one 360 and buying a whole new one.

If there is no port on the back then no. lol.

The 360 HDMI cord also makes it look very sleek, halo, cod, and assassins creed all look better.
