Help!!! Firefox or IE won't connect

Someone who is good with computers, I need your help. I think Firefox automatically updated and I can't connect to the internet. Doesn't connect on IE either.
My internet connection is fine. I get this message


I went into the "Allow programs through firewall" and doesn't let me add IE or FireFox.

Bare with me. I am very bad with all this tech stuff. The more dumbed down, the better.

Waiting for the day when this laptop blows up on me..

Is it a wireless connection? If so have you made sure you connected to the right one?

Firefox did do a recent update and it's got some changes I don't like but not connecting to the internet was not among them.

It looks like your wireless signal is the problem.

Apparently it had to do with the antivirus. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it works now.

my Firefox updated recently. When I restarted the computer I didn't have any problems with the connection after.
