Hey guys, I want to make a Golden age dc sandman gas mask. You know, wes dodds and I was wondering if I could get some ideas and suggestions about what to use and how to go about it. I want to go for a brushed copper/ brushed brass look. Possibly use sheet metal? Any ideas?

lol. Be careful? You mean with the sheet metal? would it be thick enough to keep its shape but yet thin enough to work with?

You could buy a gasmask off Amazon and work off of that.

get a regular gas mask, as suggested from Amazon or look into a Army Surplus shop and go to your local art supply and find some metallic paint and do a dry brush.

If this is something you're gonna wear sheet metal might be a little heavy, if it's just for sculpture then it would be alright.

I definitely second drybrushing metallic paint onto the black gas mask.

Hmm...maybe...although...I was hoping to go with an original mask

as opposed to the real gas mask.
