Well the majority of the characters are in NYC. The japanese guy teleports himself to NYC. The only "Hero" who is not in NYC is the cheerleader girl from Texas. Has anyone noticed the frame/picture that the suicidal/Future guy's painting of NYC and the huge cloud of smoke? It looks like it was where the Twin Towers were hit. I think this show takes place before the events of 9/11. During the episode premiere for #2 you can see the plane shadow flying over the girl from Texas (cheerleader). If it did have anything to do with 9/11 why would thee plane be flying over the girl in Texas? Well I think she runs away to NYC. Anyone else think this is a twist? 9/11 Heroes? It may be a little dramatic but I think it could be a great plot!

It would be great, if they didn't already do something similar in Ex Machina. It may seem a bit exploitive also, so I doubt they'd go that route.

I don't think NBC is even that tasteless where they'd exploit that event for their own gain.

I highly doubt it. Since these people are trying to make this the new "Lost", chances are they know exactly where all this will all lead, for however many seasons they'll be able to drag it out (not long, I say). But I doubt the ending has anything to do with 9/11.

In other news, the pilot was too slow and barely kept my attention. Great concept, but it feels so wasted. Maybe next week will be better. I'll give it a shot.

The guys painting looked more like a nuclear cloud....so I think they will get together to stop a nuclear war from happening.

I liked the premier episode alot. My wife thought the stuff with the cheerleader was a little gory though. I liked the Japanese guys references to Trek and comic books.

Wrong. Niki is in Las Vegas. And FYI, more "Heroes" are going to be revealed who are also not in NYC.

By the way, that shadow of a plane looked more like a jet than a commercial airliner.

I doubt its before 9/11, as I saw no twin towers in the scenery...and its somewhat a sad topic...using such a terrible event that killed thousands of innocent people.

Agreed. I don't remember seeing a mushroom cloud in the sky when the towers came down... A lot of dust yes but no mushroom cloud.

I've been hearing that a lot. I watch a **** ton of anime and other such series that drag out for months on end before going anywhere, it's a style I think takes time getting accustomed to.

It works well in Japan because most of their series run yearly without breaks.

I was surprised they had a "stripper" thing happening on NBC and the blood and guts factor for the cheerleader was quite surprising.

And yes, Hiro is the man. :)

man the east coast is filled with mutants

dont go to NY you'll get mutated lol

i wonder is Professor X will make a guest appearance

and maybe the plane was actuall the x-jet

never happening
do you know how many people would cry foul?
people are upset about WTC and Flight 93, which depict 9/11 in a realistic manner

I don't buy it.

There's an explosion in New York...a nuke. I think it's part of a dark organization.

The plots in heroes are kind of boring and mediocre, there basecially like things that already happened in other movies or series and is played out, they need something fresh it is seriously wackin off.
