Hi! I'm pretty new here.

Thank you for the advice! :) I don't think I will go to the politics section at all  What is a board that is neutral?

Maybe some of the TV series boards, or maybe Avengers and Spider-Man? Also Wonder Woman is a fairly neutral and civilised board too. It's mainly the X-Men and Batman boards that somehow seem quite emotionally charged all the time.

You should definitely check out this thread though:

The Rebooted "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) Thread - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 24

This is one of the most popular threads on the Hype which has been running for years. It's all about getting the rights back to all Marvel properties.

It's become a catch-all to talk sometimes about X-Men, sometimes about Fantastic Four, sometimes about Spider-Man, sometimes about new movies within the MCU etc. We've also often discussed subjects like corporate takeovers and intellectual property rights in the context of Disney taking over Fox, or getting ownership of certain properties. It's been very interesting and was even once voted thread of the year. The people in there are generally very friendly too and can have a laugh about things.

Aww, I'm sure this place likes you in return.

In your initial post, you stated, "I'm just wondering how this whole thing work and stuff". Let me try to elaborate...

...there are multiple sub-forums dedicated to various nerdosity of the internet but centric to comic book fandom. This place originally used to be called Spider-Man Hype and was started...oh...I'll say around either 1999 or 2000 timeframe. It was, of course, to gather geeks in appreciation for the then upcoming first Raimi Spider-Man movie released in 2002. It was shortly changed to SuperHeroHype because the first Bryan Singer X-Men movie was coming out even before Spider-Man and why not include ALL geeks, nerds and tragically-bullied-lonelies of the internet so that we could ALL speculate on why Spider-Man didn't have organic web-shooters and why Wolverine wasn't a legal dwarf.

Then Trump became president and thanks Obama.
Well, thank you for all that information!! But what does politics have anything to do with it? Sorry, I am very well educated in politics, I don't really care for it...

Don't really know. I'm sure there are. I have a vague recollection there might've been a Squirrel Girl thread somewhere but that's not definite.
