Highlander 2...... WTF?!

This came on TNT last night and all I have to say is... WTF??? It had more plot holes than anything I've ever seen as far as the entire series, and did they ever even mention that they were aliens in ANY of the other HL movies/series? Not to mention that Conner knew Ramirez years before they met in part one? How the hell do you go from immortal fighters in Scotland to aliens coming to Earth to fight in the future? I've seen this movie before, but son of a *****, I don't remember it being so horrid. And they never even point to any of this crap in the other films/series so you know they were like "Holy **** Steve, let's just forget we wrote/directed that **** while we were high and move on like it never happened." Those bird guys drove me to rage.

I'll hold my hand up and say I like Highlander II.

I like the crazy porcupine-with-goggles henchmen who fly on gliding discs.
I like the sword-fights.
I like the fact that the first movie was fantasy and the sequel turns everything on it's head and goes all sci-fi.
I like the production design.
I like the scene where the old-man McCloud is 'kissed' by an oil tanker, then walks out of the explosion in his prime.
I love the scene at the opening in the theatre, where Wagner's The Ring is intercut with the history of the planet Zeist (or Earth a long time ago depending on which version you watch).

I have seen the first movie it was good had some neat idea. The 2nd movie should have been about his past like during WW2 or something. Anyone ever seen Endgame. Oh thats a horrible movie.

Endgame is much worse than The Quickening. Atleast Highlander II has impressive sets, special effects, good action scenes, good villains, and so on. Endgame is little more than a TV movie. And a laaaaaaame TV movie at that.

Is the reputation of the first Highlander damaged by all the rubbish that followed?

To tell the truth, none of the movies have been very good except the 1st one. The television series was better than the other movies that came out.

Endgame was real bad. Could have been good too. And Duncan was lookin OLD....he's immortal. lol What was up with his hair too. Only good thing about that movie was Donnie Yuen. And the gratuitous sex scene. lol
