Bale doesn't have anything to do with my disinterest in T4, I was just pointing out that not all of his films are "winners" (also, The New World came out after BB)

I never said Bale had anything to do with your disinterest, i was saying why a majority of posters here are interested. :yay: Also while you didn't like the New World plenty did.

IMO, McG is a hack and that spoiler that came out was one of the most absurd things I've ever read. That's where my disinterest stems from :cwink:

McG has only made 3 films, 1 of which i liked and 1 that ppl here seem to think was decent, he hasn't made enough movies or had the type of material to even qualify as a hack, also that twist is something you are gonna believe a whole year in advance ?

JP4 is the only one i'd willing pay money to see...mind you thats only if they did it right and by right i mean take stuff from the origonal book and allow that to form the basis for the plot and get sam neill back:cmad:

Back to the Future 4 anyone....:p

I still say we send McFly to ancient Rome to help stop the assassination of his father (McFlyicus) by his evil rival (Biffus). Of course, he makes a skateboard out of something, and Biffus chases him on a chariot only to be flung in a huge pile of crap :woot:

This is my running joke whenever I hear BTTF4 mentioned. It came to me when I was thinking of a bad sequels to popular movies (since Hollywood is ressurecting everything now).

Surprisingly even after 6 years, on IMDB Hobbit has a 1/3 of the votes. :o

I was going to do multiple choice but let's see if you had to choose 1.

Hobbit - Definite #1 for me, loved all 3 LOTR Movies.

Bourne - The most recent in my opinion successful all around good Trilogies.

Terminator - 1 & 2  3  And no Arnold? However, with Bale and how good the Sarah Connor Chronicles have been, it's more like Arnold who?

Pirates of the Caribbean - I was tired of this series after the 2nd one. But with how well they did, a sequel to this is pretty definite.

Spider-Man - Like Terminator, 1 & 2 stellar, 3 not so much. I'm hoping IV brings back some sort of excellence to this franchise.

Jurassic Park IV - I haven't even seen 3, why would I want to see IV?

Mad Max - This is like Indiana Jones, but with Mel Gibson, he has to reprise the role.

Resident Evil - Sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. I've watched all 3, mindless fun, I'd probably watch the 4th one.

Shrek - Another 1 & 2 with a mediocre 3rd. I'm pretty much done with this series. And there are 2 other sequels in the works. :(

Final Destination - Is this anything like Saw? I don't think I've seen a whole one of these.

Beverly Hills Cop - Murphy has sold out. Stick to making family movies Eddie.

Mission Impossible - I didn't even watch 3, no desire to watch 4.

Rush Hour - Tucker, Chan and Ratner making another sequel to a movie that's the equivalent of beating a dead horse.

I'm definitely looking forward to The Hobbit, that's definitely #1 on my list. Then I have T4 as the second movie that has me pretty hyped.

Regardless of how few (terrible) films he has made, I think the McSpaced debacle alone is enough to qualify him as a hack.

the thing is...The Hobbit is bringing nothing new. Alot of us have already read the books, we've seen LOTR movies, we know the style.

But with Terminator we are seeing something totally new...the terminator universe is open ended now (thanks to John pushing back Judgment Day), anythin can basically happen. Plus we havent seen Skynet before, or have seen much of the Future world of Terminator.

Terminator Salvation is bringing something new...The Hobbit is not. that is why im more hyped for Terminator 4.

IYO

I am not completely sure what you are talking about, unless it's something to do with that brit comedy, in which case i don't give a rats ass.

I know about the short-comings of all the other Jurassic Parks...but it doesn't matter. I've watched 2 and 3 many times.
If it has real-looking dinosaurs terrorizing people, I want to see it.
Plus it would be so entertaining to see how on Earth, after all that's happened, they would insult the audience's intelligence by squirming their way into another preposterous excuse for, now, probably, Laura Dern, to return to a dinosaur island.

I get really irritated with the way they tell what's going to happen in the future. I mean in Terminator, the future happens no matter what, going back in time or whatever you do. In T2: Judgment Day, they made it so you can change the future. Then in Terminator 3 they change it back to the future occurring no matter what, because it's destiny. Then in t.v. show, they said you can, once again, alter your fate. They're good movies and a interesting show, I just wish they stayed consistent. I hope Terminator 4 doesn't do the same thing with going back in time and stuff, because it's gotten to the point of being ridiculous. Although I will watch the movie on the movie network when it is released, just not in theaters, at least that's what I plan.

I am also more excited to see the fourth Terminator, than I am with seeing the Hobbit.

Ehh, I don't know if were seeing something new or not,I think the future stuff has been done as well. Terminator 3 has almost killed the idea of wanting to see another, but I liked 1/2 enough to overlook 3's many shortcomings.
Glad ur hyped for T4,but don't knock the Hobbit just because u don't think its 'new'. I'll bet ya some lunch money and movie ticket that the Hobbit gross's more money than T4 will do....I like Bale, and he is for one reason I'm kindof anxious to see T4. I'd be more hyped for T4 if T3 did'nt sux so bad,it just had no flow of story or acting. They basically just threw the movie together and hoped it did well because of Arnold...
Hobbit in all actualality should'nt be on the list as its a prequel not a forthquel....

Hahha, well ofcourse The Hobbit will gross more than Terminator 4. it would be sad if it didnt.

I dont see why people keep on bringing up T3 as the reason they arent interested in T4, since Terminator 4 is a totally different monster than T3. Dif Cast, Dif Director, new story etc.

I am most excited for the Terminator, I was not a fan at all of the first 3 when I first saw them but well, after seeing the first again I kinda sorta started liking it...throw in Christian Bale and it is a definite must-see for me :D

I lamost voted for Bourne 4,though. It's an all around excellent trilogy and can't wait for the the 4th.

And as much as everyone hates Spidey 3, I really liked it.

Now for the bad:

Shrek 4? There has never been a movie (other than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) that I have wanted to get up, throw my popcorn at the movie screen, and run out of the theater like I wanted to do to Shrek 3. It was horrible.

That goes for Pirates 4 as well- which bored me. Although I liked the scene after the credits, that's pretty much all I liked. It was completely boring, I refuse to see the next one.

I liked the first 2 Terminators and never bothered with the third. I'll pass on a fourth. I got bored with the second Rush Hour and never bothered with the third. I never bothered with any of the Jurassic Park sequels, nor the Mission Impossible sequels. I never bothered with the Pirates movies, the Resident Evil movies or the Final Destination movies. I haven't gotten around the Beverly Hills Cop movies and I'm not in that big a hurry. Shrek 3 was ok, but I can do without a fourth. I enjoyed the first 2 Spidey movies but the third fell short of their quality and have no urging to go back for a fourth. I still enjoy the first 2 Mad Max movies and only regard the third as a joke. I'll pass on another. I surprisingly liked the 3 Bourne movies, but think the story told in the movies was completed in the third film. I still enjoy reading the Lord of the Rings and equally enjoy the film versions, and also enjoy some of Del Toro's films but unlike him I can't get over my dislike of The Hobbit.

Hobbit - Yes I would love to see this!
Bourne 4 - Hell yes! The problem is that Robert Ludlum only wrote three books, so they are going to have to make up thier own story or make one based on the cappy The Bourne legacy by Eric Van Lustbader
Terminator Salvation - The third one was good, so maybe.
Pirates of the Caribbean IV - No way. I was tired of this mid-way through the second one. I did love the firt one.
Spider-Man IV _ Hell yes! I like the third one, for the action and the fighting. They messed up the story, but not enough for a reboot.
Jurassic Park IV - I don't know, maybe.
Mad Max 4: Fury Road - Hell no. Let sleeping dogs lie.
Resident Evil IV - If they can make it as good as the second one. The first and third one didn't do it for me.
Shrek Goes Fourth - The first one was OK. The second one was freaking great. The third one was DOA. They should just let it stay dead.
Final Destination 4 - Please not another one. The first one was great, but after that it was just sick.
Beverly Hills Cop 4 - Remember in the first one, how Eddie laughed at those two guys for wearing the out of date Michael Jackson beat it jackets? Well when I saw a desperate Eddie murphy wearing that out of date Detroit Lions jacket in 1994's Beverly Hills Cop 3. I was thinking that he became that very same joke and didn't even know it. I was laughing at him the same way he was laughing at those two guy in the MJ jackets and for the same reason. This should not have even been thought of.
Mission Impossible 4 - I hated the first two. The third one was pretty good, but because of Tom's crazyness off screen, it didn't do too well. I don't think I would want to see a fourth one.
Rush Hour 4 - I hope I die of old age before this happens.

Wouldn't The Hobbit be a prequel not a sequel ? It gets my vote too anyways.
Speaking of 4th installments. Is there gonna be a Pirates 4 for i haven't heard anyone saying there would be.

I liked the first 2 Terminators and never bothered with the third. I'll pass on a fourth.

Terminator 4 has a different production team, even has a whole new cast. no matter how much u liked or didnt like T3, T4 is a new monster.

Hobbit - Would go see it. I enjoyed the LOTR movies.

Bourne - I thought they got worse with each one.

Terminator - Bale-yes, Mc G-no....I'll go see it because of The Bale.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Liked the first one, hated the last two.

Spider-Man -Didn't care for SM3 all too much. I want a new director and cast. Give Spider-Man the wisecracks and I'm all for it.

Jurassic Park IV - Meh don't care.

Mad Max - Never seen any.

Resident Evil - HELL NA!!!

Shrek -3rd was rubbish so I don't care.

Final Destination - I would see a FD4.

Beverly Hills Cop -Never seen them.

Mission Impossible - Never seen them.

Rush Hour - Haven't seen the 3rd, so I don't care.
