Hiro to fight the T-Rex(really)

there's a difference between being "dead" which she has done and being dead which she hasn't.

if she's died before...how is she alive to say that?

Th^t doens't make any sense. Had the branch not been removed from her brain, had the doctor broken the tip off and left it lodged in her brain, or had she not been found at all, she'd still be dead. Not "dead," but dead. If the regenerative ability is cut-off at the source, she can't reanimate. Jessica having a possession or body-snatching gift is far more plausible than a Claire who can't die. Is Claire going to live forever? If she didn't die, what was she doing cut open on the autotopsy table not regenerating? It's not like she was just asleep.

Jessica has already explained that she would take over Nikki in order to protect her from their father, because Nikki couldn't/wouldn't do it herself. If Jessica's body was killed while her "soul," so to speak (Chandra said if a human had a soul, it would reside in her brain, which is also the source of the heroes' powers), was protecting Nikki, her consciousness could have remained, so Nikki actually ended up protecting Jessica.

Zach's sexuality was never established on the show, so there really isn't a plot hole to fill. He was an outcast and as such he was taunted. "Gay-boy" and whatnot aren't the most original slanders, and hardly confirm he was gay.

If she had shown any vital signs, then she wouldn't have been carved open.

no, i'm not new to the series, and she wasn't "dead." as soon as the stick was pulled out of her head she sprang back to life.

Exactly, she sprang back to life. Sprang back to life from where? From not being alive. Hence she was dead for all intents and purposes. If the stick hadn't been removed she wouldn't have regenerated and in all likelihood would have begun to decompose.

The misleading plot point was about Claire telling Zach she didn't remember homecoming night. I went back and checked it out and yeah I get the Haitain didn't mind wipe Claire. But after a month of not watching the show you tend to forget single lines of dialogue so when it came back on and Claire says she doesn't remember I tend to think she doesn't remember. Anyway why would she tell Zach that she didn't remember homecoming night if she is trying to convince him they were friends and she has this ability? That's the misleading part.

The point in the epidsode where Zach asks what happened on Homecoming night Claire had yet to let him in on her secret again. She is being cautious what she tells him because just blurting out that she was there when the other cheerleader died and that she watched a guy perform brain surgery with his finger and then watched another guy absorb her miraculous healing power...well, you get the point. Information overload. Not only would Zach had thought she was crazy at that point but she probably felt she needed to ease him back into this secretive world one step at a time. First, try to be friends again, then let him know about her powers then let him know about the rest. it's not misleading you just have to understand that Claire and Zach's friendship is starting over from scratch. It's best to take it a step at a time instead of trying to explain everything at once, otherwise she'd scare Zach off. So, she just pretended at that moment to not know what happened at Homecoming.

Zach's sexuality isn't even an important point of the plot.

Unless Kring thinks like I think: we, gay people, do have superpowers! :woot:

it's pretty damn obvious that he has a thing for Claire (honestly, who doesn't?)...but i digress, there have been multiple signs that he likes her, but he's insecure about it because she was always the popular friend who didn't want to be seen with him

It can also be interpreted as that. But nothing that changes the fact that the actor is definitely gone, and so is the character. We'll never see Zach again.

[BLACKOUT]Ausiello: Get this: Monday's episode was Dekker's — and Zach's — last. And let's not be so quick to blame Dekker. As I was recently made aware, his manager was one of several forces conspiring to "straighten up" Zach (one of which is very high up).[/BLACKOUT]

even though we see screenshots of him from Episode 14, right?

Zach's staying...deal with it
:o

Seriously, the whole gay character thing got blown way out of proportion. Kring had intended Zach to be gay only because he wanted a diverse cast of characters. He wanted it to be a phenomenon happening worldwide, which would include a wide variety of people from different races, religions, and sexual preferences.

There's still time to make Hiro gay. I guess the casting of George Takei can be a sign of that.

And showed the actor's homophobia. Remember, people: the last time Tom Hanks played a gay man, he won an Oscar.

OKAY, I GOT IT, GAY BOY STAYS ON THE SHOW!

(I can call him gay, cause I am gay).

if you'll read my post, you'll see i said "before her death". she has alluded to previously occupying Nikki's body and coming forward so that Nikki wouldn't suffer abuse.
which, again, really pushes how far the limits of even a superhero show can go. astral projection into somebody else from a nonpsychic based character? ...right...

and yes..Claire was dead.

really, now.

yes, Claire like Wolverine and Superman before her has "died" but being dead isn't a state you can come back from. she went into comic book version of dead, which is more like a coma then anything else.

hey if you're a teen and acting next to a hottie like the cheerleader, wouldnt you like, not want to have a platonic character?

'nuff said.

it's been pretty damn obvious that he's gay (or was). two outsiders befriending each other.
riiiiiight
he's gay

that's why he campaigned for Claire, that's why he helped Claire sneak out, that's why he got her Chandra's book......yep, he's gay alright

i'm gay and i've done similar stuff like that for my friends. am i missing a point you failed to make? i think so.

it was his manager that made him go from gay-to-straighht. :down
Dekker's played gay about two or three times before.

yeah, that really pushes those limits. why, charles xavier, doctor strange, ghostrider, etc. have never done anything like that. :whatever:
