anybody else a closet history channel freak?

shows are mad educational and ive found myself watching it more and more. Shootout is my favorite but there's one coming on after it called dogfights that looks sick too.

i know i aint the only one.

I watch once in a while, learned that the olympic running of the torch was Hitlers idea (I did not know that)

It's funny how when you watch The History Channel you tend to remember more of the details. Obviously, it's a billion times better than reading history from a book because you have the audio and the visual. But I appreciate the editing and variety of their programming as well. And I'm very excited they decided to make Dogfights into a series. I saw it when it was a one-off and it was really cool. Starts this Friday so set your tivo if you wont be home.

i am a closet history channel freak, when nothing's on i'll flip to it and watch it for hours. this new "building an empire" show is great.

*cant wait for them to start producing the inevitable "houdini's a spy" piece

Definitley love this channel! I find myself flipping back and forth between this, discovery and yes, The Food Network!

I watch it at times. I love the stuff on Vietnam and WWII. I get into the documentaries on Hitler and his obsession with the Occult and weird weapons of WWII.

i find that the more History Channel i watch, the quicker i am to turn it on. It wasn't always on my "favorites" but it is certainly within my top 3 now. Like Kable said, I find it especially good for learning "factoids" about war and stuff. Shootout and Dogfights on FRIDAY!!!
