I'm gonna guess it would have to do with those Rogue One reshoots being done to maintain a tone consistent with ANH. Tone might be the new realism.

Have people made any comparisons to SS because of the reshoots? I found the reshoots rumors for SS funny because Ayer said that the serious comic con trailer is not true to the movie's tone after the comic con trailer was released, then the bohemian rhapsody trailer was released which showed some of the comedy, and then after Bvs was released Devin said that they are doing reshoots because the movie is too dark and serious and they don't want the same reception that BvS got.
