It comes out in December. I'll get it because I get the other ones like it.

But these books are ones kids can read. So, the cover WILL get parents to buy it?:)

And Ghost Rider is about Hell. They going to mention that? lol.

Nice cover.

Woha, even the Medallion of Power!!!
O_O
I wish i could be still a teenager...

In the lower left of the picture, that is the medallion of power symbol, the one on the gasoline tank cap of the second Ghost Rider bike.

Well, I think this bool is more a guide of how the FX of the movie was made, not an adaption of the film, so I think it looks at it from a more technical standpoint.

It's a book that tells about all the characters in the comics. Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-Men and alot more heroes have them. It will be based off the comics and might have some movie info in it.

The Spider-Man one is the first one I got and is my favorite.

And steal their dad's motorcycle at the same time.

When is this supposed to be released? I think I remember it being by Christmas or something. Anyone know for sure?

Amazon says December 18, 2006. I'll buy it then.

A Foreward by Stan Lee? I don't understand why every Marvel thing is automatically associated with SL I mean I know he more or less single-handedly started the MU but c'mon he might not've even read a GR issue. I have most of the DK books and they're all pretty well done, few errors here and there but overall easy to use as a refrence. I'll probaly be picking this one up just so I can put my hand on the medallion and light my hair on fire:ghost:

Stan Lee was EIC of Marvel during Ghost Riders initial run, was he not?

Satan had better connections :o

I see nothing on the cover suggesting that the book is for kids...

All those books are made by DK who makes kids books.

You do realize that DK Publishing prints more than just childrens books, right? Because I don't think children are going to be reading business books on management. Although kids are getting smarter, it seems.

They sell a plethora of various reading material, ranging from children to adult. Plus they have deals with companies such as Marvel and DC to print these types of books for children and adults alike. Even though this product will most likely be geared toward 8 - 12 year olds, it shouldn't be automatically assumed it will be just because of the publishing company.

From the site's About Us page:

Our Books

DK publishes an extensive range of both adult and children's reference titles - in effect 'cradle to grave' publishing. The adult list encompasses many subjects: gardening, conventional and holistic medicine, pregnancy & childcare, travel, cooking & wine, natural history, art, sports, popular culture, and languages. It includes manuals, encyclopedias, atlases, maps and handbooks. Within the adult list there are longstanding partnerships between DK and prestigious organizations such as the AHS, AMA and Columbia University Press that lend weight to the authority of the books.

DK's children's reference titles are second to none. The list covers a vast range of children's interests for every age group - dinosaurs, space, nature, history, religion, sport and science. In addition the publishing also includes a number of richly illustrated and highly accessible encyclopedias for learners of every age.

DK has also teamed up with well-loved names such as Barbie, DC comics, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar - ensuring DK remains at the forefront of popular children's publishing.

I don't think it's aimed at kids.

Then again, I remember Halloween 1997; I saw a lot of kids running around dressed as Spawn. I didn't think he was an appropriate character for small children to emulate. My 10-year-old saw the Ghost Rider trailer & asked me why his story was so similar to that of Spawn. I told him it was b/c the guy who created Spawn has no imagination.

well when did the spawn movie come out? because i know i saw that when it came out and i was really young
