Here's the mask i made, it's not as good as ComicBookBoy's but what the hell:

Sorry i haven't resized yet. Basically, i found a good spot on an unused white t-shirt, drew the image i wanted, and wrapped all the excess back stuff with a rubberband and then trimmed it.

The back is a little lumpy, natch, but you can slip it on and off and dont have to re-wrap it. the neck is a little loose sometimes. and i sealed the beack with staples, god's miracle.

I made this with a t-shirt and marker as well. I tried wearing it to comic-con last year, but it was REALLY hot and there were way better Rorschach costumes.

how do you guys see through that material? or better question breathe?

With a t-shirt, marking over the part where your eyes are is the best way to go. Thinner material couldn't hurt though. Breathing isn't so hard, but it makes you very sweaty in the face.

ok, so i'm making my rorschach costume for the premiere/halloween/comicon 09. i've already got my mask, and im working on the rest. the issue im having is with his hat. I am really frustrated, because i can't figure out what kind of hat i should get, or where i can get it for a reasonable price. does anyone have any suggestions?

(also, what do you guys think about getting grey and white pinstripe pants and dying them purple? do you think that would work out well?)

o also, has anyone made or seen any good night-owl costumes? my best friend wants to go as either him or the comedian, but cant figure out how to make a good night-owl costume.

I really want that mask and grappel gun but is it sensible to spend that amount when all I mainly want is the mask?

I posted these on the other thread for those who haven't seen them.

Any ideas on how to do a Nite Owl II costume?
Since everyone is going as Roscharch, I thought I'd do my second choice...if I can do it, blue paint, thy name be mine!

Hey ya gang; say, I'm figuring on making a Rorschach suit myself for the Watchmen premiere and have so far been trying to construct this with using only the best materials. However I'm still trying to figure out a way to make the mask; now I know many have suggested using a simple old white t-shirt or something more along the lines of that kinda fabric, but in my research I've found that to be a rather useless material. Now I've been thinking about something more along the lines of a muscle shirt or some sort of elastic fabric that would be easier to see through (seeing is kinda one of my big problems when assembling the mask so far). Anywho, do you guys have any recommendations or suggestions that I could take into consideration when making this full costume? :word:

So far at the moment I'm leaning towards in buying a dark brown leather trench coat and gloves and some gritty brown or maroon pinstripe pants; and of course I could probably make by fancing a dark brown fedora and the white scarf over at a pawn shop or the goodwill. Other than that, the only real construction I'll have to attempt is obviously the mask and maybe getting a purple maroonish fabric to get a better fabric rip for the hat. :woot:

I have no clue how somebody would do a Nite Owl II costume. The head would be the hardest part; if I had to figure out a way to do it It'd doctor a Batman cowl, but I dont know. Look at fanfilms on youtube and see what they did.

I don't mean to sound like an ass or anything, but here ARE other characters in Watchmen other than Rorschach. don't get me wrong, these costumes are all amazing, but damn. i'm trying to make a Comedian costume right now.
