This thread is about seeing horror movie themes used for weird/unusual TV/movie ads, or just wrong places in movies themselves.

I saw SportsCenter on Friday, and they were playing a montage of LeBron James. During that montage, they were playing the "Saw" theme

Probably to up the suspense, but still. It's out of place.

DISCUSS!

Can't recall the last time I heard a horror movie theme used incorrectly or oddly for some TV ad or movie segment. A friend of mine once told me he was going to make a music video that would take scenes from the Terminator films and play it against the Halloween theme, but it never came to life.

The new Denzel movie trailer Deja Vu aslo had the theme from Saw.

Yeah, that kinda fit it though.

Still a tad out of place.

One time I was watching TV, and this ad for some Disney-related toy line (princesses and such) was on. Pink rooms, happy music, floppy haired girls playing with dolls.

It was immediately followed by this dark screen and an eerie voice growling: RADON, THE SILENT KILLER. IS YOUR HOME SAFE?

I saw a commercial a few years back(not sure what it was for) and they used the Hellraiser theme.
