Hot Toys 1989 Batman figures coming!

hi all i know hot toys is putting out spme things soon and also a few other 1989 batman items have been in the works since the movie is 20 years old now and also wb i think just did a 75 year promo event but i wanted to show this off for thoe swho love batman and love large scail items​

this is a 22 inch 1989 keaton batman i did with a few other people i sculpted the batman armor off of a generic body that my buddy had i also made the latex cape from cloth and paint rolled latex like in the first film the gloves boots and mask were digitaly done on the computer and 3d printed by a coworker and after molded were cast in a wax and i did final sculpt to inhance all the details to make them more accurate and crisp the belt buckle was also made on the computer and printed but the belt and belt pills were made by hand and than assembled and molded and cast in yellow flex urithain the base is a generix rock base made to look like the batcave i personally was not to fond of it but it worked and he stands fine on his own so i knew i could allways make a betetr base that looke dlike the 89 chest symbol​

their were 4 of us who worked on the project i handeled the sculpting and final ok of all pieces due to the fact that i had the most sculpting experiance and being the bigger batman fan jeremy monz did all of the molding rich lafarga did the didgital 3d modeling on the computer and lou escilante did the belt the base and all of the final model work to properly assembel and fit the pieces to the body​

here are some pix of the final piece fully painted and assembled pleas keep in mind that i am really not much of a painter so the paint work is not the gratiest but i think for doing it in an hr on a lunch brake i did an ok job lol hope you all enjoy feel free to ask any questians or email me at [email protected] if you may be inturested in a copy either painted or a raw casting​

also for thoes inturested i am doing a 4 inch latex 89 mask that will be displayed ona 89 chest symbol a sthe base pictures will follow soon the sculpt is in the final stages​

thats amazing work.. we'll see how good Hot Toys is.. I'm really waiting for the Christopher Reeve Superman figure. Am I to take it there will be a Nicholson Joker? I thought this was always negative in the past as he does't license his likeness.

thanks you i appreciate it i do not have a joker in the mix as of now the original idea begind this was to do bascicly what hot toys does resin head hands and feet witha cloth body but the mold i made did noy lrt me run urithain chest and leg armore all to well their were thin spots so i decide a resin kit would be more affordiable any way

if people show enough inturest i did plan on doing another sculpt of the body armor and head head that were a little more accurate i did this 2 yeras ago believe it or not i just never had any time to display it for the public to look at

the planwas to make all 5 movie suits they had at the time and make a bat cave to display them in i also wanted to make the vault from 89 that the costume was kept in to display this costume but again just ideas from when i had a little more free time and a few other artiest that had amazing talent that hellped out for the love of making a cool product to display in their home and not money lol

Damn add that to the list of Hot Toys figures I need to get. Their stuff is so freaking expensive though, it would take an entire paycheck to buy one from amazon. Hence the reason I haven't picked up a Hot Toys Heath Joker.

Hot Toys quality is about as good as it gets, I'd be willing to bet these will be teriffic

this is the only one I ever saw that was "worthy" of making my toy shelf (though I don't own it...) I've been waiting for a definitive Keaton version for ages.

yeah that was a great piece that is what made teh 4 of us want to do our model we had intended to do spandex and latex costume like the film and also do other hands that could hold a gun and batarang we jsut never got around to it
