I always had faith in Singer, but I can understand certain story points had people worried, and I had a few doubts on Brandon Routh myself, but now with all the trailers and spots and stuff I feel truly confident Singer´s gonna deliver one more time... There will always be some disgruntled fans - his X-Men movies have a few too - but all in all, I suspect SR will be one of the must-sees of the summer... How about ya?

Confidence level was always relatively high, although I was intially worried with the whole "kid" storyline. The fact is that Bryan Singer has had much success with comic book movies in the past, and it can be expected, judging from the trailers and footage we have seen, that Superman Returns will not disappoint us. Let's hope for the best, coz I've been waiting for this movie for a very very long time.

i'm somewhere between Meh and Good.

btw, isnt your "Good" and "Total" the same thing?

Total means you think it´s gonna be excellent. Good means you think it´s gonna be... good.

Excellent Indeed.

im that confident that i can see the standing ovations at the end of the movie.

To be honest, I'm not seeing a great deal of crowd reaction at the trailers. Furthermore, most people that I talk to that represent the mainstream are saying that they'll probably wait until the DVD comes out.

While it appears that Singer is not going to go the campy route, to quote one guy I talked to, "I'd rather see something with more seriousness ala Batman, Spiderman, or X-Men, than something hokey, like Superman" Another guy asked me who Superman was fighting. When I told him it was Luthor, and this was a film to reestablish who Superman was, he rolled his eyes, and said, "If I want to familiarize myself with who Superman is, I'll watch Smallville. I want to see Superman throw down on-screen". Another person from the mainstream audience who stated they'd wait for the DVD. They said that if they wanted to see Superman deal with natural disasters, they'd watch the original movie.

I voted Good-After the last 2 trailers my opinion has changed somewhat,i'm still not keen on what we are seeing of Lex but Routh looks excellent as superman, his delivery and presence is spot on IMO
Action-wise i'd have liked a supervillain but the action in this movie although of a different nature than i'd hoped still looks spectacular:up:
The movie looks quite epic I think

Theater reaction is very relative, others posters are mentioning enthusiastic responses. The movie has very good tracking. On the www,comingsoon.net recent poll on movies to see in June, SR had an astounding 67%, the Pixar release cars had less than 10%.

total.

10.

100%

this movie is going to rock. bring it on.............singer

Quality.

Doesnt looked rushed.

From the trailers and the littlebit for us fans to see so far.

I belive Synger really did let the true Soul of Superman be who he is - Superman!

The movie really does look like the Promise of hope for this Summer.

FOX.......You should have waited for Brian seriously! He could have given your X3 movie life and substance ---- If you would have just been patient to wait!

Mr Brian Synger is there any possibility you could create the WonderWoman movie too please? please ? :)

Or perhaps find a way to influence Weldon to not create a Buffy film disguised as WW?

Back to your vision of Superman - Impressive!

Absolutely Impressive from what you have let us see this far - thank you :)

Its looking amazing. To me, It seems like it has such a different feel than any other movie I've seen. It might just be because I'm a big Superman fan, but this movie just seems to stand out from every other film. Maybe the new cinematography, maybe because its a new Superman movie, I'm not sure, but it sure seems very special.

Total.

I've just seen X-Men 3, a film that was rushed, and didn't put the tory first. Superman Returns is the complete opposite. So if X-Men 3 was hilariously bad, then SR should be tear-jerkingly good.

the only way my confidence would get higher is if Avril lavigne decided put her head between my legs.
