How do you imagine a Question film being like? Like the feel of it, etc. :woot:

I think this could have gone in your other thread, but anyway.....

It should be a classic crime noir/gangster type of thing. Vic Sage is a crusading reporter by day and pulp fiction style vigilante detective by night. Have him taking on the inept, alchoholic Mayor Wesly Fermin and the real puppet master of things, the psychotic Reverend Jeremiah Hatch, Hub city's main religious leader and it's biggest crime lord. Mix in plenty of philosophy and extesentialist stuff that Vic gets from training with Richard Dragon and questioning himslef, and we're golden.

The same feel to the O' Neil series. With the crime noir route. Also an adaptation of the first storyline from the O' Neil run, with the priest, would work well. Including Richard Dragon and Shiva. Make it include a lot of the investigative and philosophy angle as well.

His various incarnations are so ripe for combining into a movie or television character: investigative reporter, objectivist vigilante, Zen philosopher, martial artist, conspiracy theorist, even the "urban shaman" from the recent Rick Veitch miniseries. The first issue of the run would make a great opening episode, with when we see his body lying at the bottom of the river, they could then fade into an origin story.

Nathan Fillion would also be a great choice for either. And David Duchovny, who has played another prominent conspiracy theorist and has proven he can do intensity and dark, deadpan humor.

Full noir film it would be sweet. i would love to direct something like that. But really in the end I would rather have a weekly show rather than a movie.

A very film noir Question Film would be the way to go IMO. However the film's storyline could be whatever the hell they want, as long as Kiefer Sutherland plays the man with no face.

As would I. He fits a more serialized nature of a TV show better. it would probably be on CW, due to the WB/DC thing, which really would be okay, since that channel sorely needs quality material.

No way dude. Nathan Fillion. First off, he looks like Vic, and he's perfect at the tortured smartass thing.

Should Shiva be in here?

And what about Izzy?

I could go with that but every now and then iw ould like the show to have some long story arc not a big season long one. More like law and order or csi where he just solves different things each epsidoes. And everynow and then have a mutlyparter.

And who as Tot. . . who indeed. . .

Maybe. The Question really works better for more serialized fiction, which I prefer. CSI and law and Order are rather repeadative.

We need more wrinkles on Sutherland.

Richard Dragon?

And the version of the Question.

Ditko, O'Neil's, JLU, 52, shaman, a mix of some versions, or an original version for the film?

52 is just O'Neil without the interior monologues, shaman can go **** itself, I don't tend to distinguish between the Ditko and O'Neil versions because both are the same character at different points in his life, and show his progression as a character, and JLU has some cool points. I'd go for a mic of Ditko/O'Neil and a tiny bit of JLU.

The shaman angle was interesting, but it doesn't fit a character like Question.

Really, if it fits anyone it's Richard Dragon.

Not sure whether a city-shaman would be Richard's angle. He's better off as he was portrayed in the Question series, Barbara training, and Huntress' training.

I'm just saying, that sort of mystical/spiritual stuff seems more like Richard's territory.

Spiritual, understandable. Mystical's pushing it.
