My thoughts on the film

On a no or yes choice, it's a yes. Do I rate it 'highly' in the genre, it's okay, it's a solid film with a decent conclusion to the trilogy. Is it as good as BB or TDK, no, clearly, but it's a solid film.

Yes. Arguably the weakest of the entire trilogy & probably my least favourite, however this isn't to say it isn't good as both Batman Begins & obviously The Dark Knight are right up amongst some of the best CBM's to date IMO.

I think all three movies are great. But I'd say Lord of the Rings, Leone's Dollar Trilogy and the original Bourne films are widely considered almost equally good. In fact, an argument can be made that in those cases every entry was better than the previous one.

I do like it but it is very overrated. Not as good as Batman Begins or The Dark Knight. Still a solid blockbuster and Batman film though.

I love it, full stop. It has some of my favorite moments in the trilogy; climbing the well, Bane battle 1, airplane scene, a good amount of Selina Kyle scenes.....
It also has some of my favorite tracks in the score for the trilogy.

I've seen this film getting a lot of praise and at the same time a lot of hate, as it's seen as the weakest of the trilogy by many.

So a simple question; do you like it?
Yeah. I like it, but I have issues with it. My issues stem mostly from the feeling that this really isn't a Batman movie, but a movie about Gotham. I'd go so far as to say it's actually about Gotham no longer needing a Batman. I think it's a great film in general, but not a great Batman movie. Also the 'where's the trigger scene' and Talia's death among a few others are awful... not enough to quite ruin it for me, but I definitely wonder what the hell Nolan was thinking.

I very much like it. Yes its not as good as TDK or even Begins, but its an all around solid movie and a very satisfying ending to the trilogy.

I like it, but not as much as I did when I first saw it. Not just because later on I noticed all the plot holes but also I just find it to be the least enjoyable of the Dark Knight trilogy. And I think the most glaring issue is that Nolan was clearly unsure of where to go after Ledger’s death and so he reverted back to the League of Shadows stuff again. But I do like it and it’s the first superhero threequel that wasn’t absolute garbage.

It's really odd to me when fans complain about bringing back the League of Shadows but than go on to say how he should have found a way to bring back the villain from only one movie ago (Yes I know it's Heath Ledger's Joker but still)

It has it's issues and lacked detail compared to the first two, the rooftop fight and Talia's death are two example of some weird scenes but I do enjoy it, a lot as i said before.

I know it has flaws so that's why i would rather watch it compared to Begins or The Dark Knight.

it's a film about Bruce Wayne

Generally, yes. It is my least favorite of the trilogy but still a movie I rewatch.

IMO, TDKR as it stands now is really only a few tweaks away from making this film a superior finale. Casting and story idea were on point—I like the mashup of Knightfall & No Man’s Land but as how much as Gotham City and its people played a role in TDK, I was surprised that Nolan didn’t dedicate more screen time to the city under siege.

The Bane voice still bugs me aha and I still wish the Foley character was removed; what a strange choice to include.

And just name him Officer Dick Grayson! Lol

My relationship with this film is odd in that on paper I really dislike the idea of Bruce running off with this Selina, leaving it to Blake etc, but the execution is such that I end up finishing the movie with a smile on my face every damn time. It's like how everyone always points to how there's no explanation as to how Bruce gets back to Gotham, the pit escape is that good that I'll happily just go along with it.
I'm also a complete sucker for Bruce becoming Batman again, magic knee brace and all, his first appearance back is one of my favourites in Bat media.

Something in it just works for me.

In 2012 i was dissapointed af, but few years later i watched it again and now i like it a lot for many reasons, but i still don't like the fact that Bane was once again used by someone else.

I wouldn't say Talia was "using him", They had the exact same goal and were working towards it as equal partners.

I think people were confused because she called him her protector and told him what to do with Batman. I never got the impression that he was just following orders. It was always pretty clear to me they worked together from the start.

It's the weakest movie in the trilogy, but I still like it.

This movie is overhated by fans, often by some of the same fans who give a pass to, for examples, stuff like Snyder DCEU flicks and/or some of the more mediocre MCU films.
