Ya we don't know what context little clark is. I still doubt it be anything more then flashbacks we viewers ser. In relation to some struggle or issue kara is facing in the present. And present kara and clark never meet.

Seeing as James did not know Clark/Superman until he arrived in Metropolis, I
would say your assumption is correct. I am going with The Danvers family recounting the days of young Kal-El.

The Danvers seems certainly most likely, tbh I find the Danvers to be really intriguing and I can't wait to see them. I think had they put her with Ma and Pa Kent it would have been like going over old ground. The Danvers give us a family that understands science etc. I think they're really gonna add some layers to the show when we see more.

ya it wont be a superman turned to a kid deal. Again its pretty much going to be i bet 99.99% that it will be a young clark kent when he was a kid. Dealing with his powers and the kents met the danvers some how. And they helped clark learn to handle and control his powers. And this will be seen to us viewers but told to kara likely from mrs. danvers.

With the announcement of "Young Kal-El" first showing up via an adaptation of "For the Man who has Everything" story and the announcement of Project Cadmus coming to the series, I figured this thread deserved a 'bump' since, between the two announcements, I think we have our answer to the "How does a young Superman work on Supergirl?" question.
