The Dark Knight How early are you lining up?

For those of you going to the opening mid night showing, how early are you lining up? My friends and I are trying to decide on a good time to go line up and we just don't know how early people will start camping around. So please state where you're from and how early you plan on lining up.

I think for SW Episode One I got to the theater around 6 and they let us in to be seated around 7pm for the midnight show. Not sure what the Imax theater I'm going to for TDK will go by, (depends on if they have earlier shows in the Imax theater that day.) Hopefully they will allow fans plenty of time to get there and hang out. I know it's going to be a zoo.

Well in the UK, it's par for the course for pretty much every big cinema, and the IMAX in London has always let me pick a seat.

I'm think I won't bother and will just go to my local theater in the morning instead of driving all the way to IMAX that late at night. If I like it that much I will go see it in IMAX latter on.

ah, here in chicago the only place that does let you do it is IMAX, and yeah, you get to pick your seat...im assuming most people in this thread are talking about regular theaters in america, which, from my experience, do not allow saved seats/picking seats, what have you....which man, i feel for you guys.

Midnight showings suck real bad, I shouldn't have bought tickets because I knew that. I used to go to them when I was a teen and they are always packed and packed full of slobs who smell, rude teens and people who eat loud. Normally people clap in the movie and yell at the screen and lots of people do it in the big parts if it is an action film. Totally ruins the movie not to mention that you are tired towards the end of the film and you still have to drive home.

I prefer to see a movie with a small amount of people in the cinema(2-30 people) and the morning showings are always quiet even for big movies because people are at work, in bed or at school.

Um, I'll leave my house at 11 and arrive at 11:15 to the theater.

No need to get there too early, esp. if I already have a ticket.

It all depends on the theater.... some have assigned seats, others don't. If I had to guess, I would say most do not let you pick a seat ahead of time. You would need to find out from the theater you plan on going to if they reserve seats.
