Iron Man How far into the movie should it be before Stark Suits up ?

i couldn't agree more. almost every marvel movie heretofore has has a fairly action-less first half an hour or so. more of them need to start off with a nice action scene, then dial it back a few notches and tell the story.

The action within the first half hour doesn't necessarily have to be in suit; it could be the ambush that gets him injured and captured. I'm sure that could be an action packed scene.

I'd suggest the movie have an opening sequence similar to Daredevil with Stark suited up and kicking butt and then fill in the origin with flashback segments. I'm sure that the special effects will be the real star of this movie so why not start it off with a bang?

Look to past examples with the Hulk, Punisher and Fantastic Four and you can see that overdoing the backstory messed up the pacing of those movies.

Nah, I guess BB way of origin storytelling would be much better choice than DD.

It suits IM well.

About as long s it took to see tobey put on the webs.

There isn´t a precise time you can call for him to suit up.

I´ll say, the necessary for the script and vision at hand.

The reason i was wondering what views ppl had on this was due to Stark and IM not being as well known as Batman so ppl's patience may wear quicker but there is also the case to be made that if you write a good enough script then it shouldn't matter

BTW i'm very disappointed in you, where the hell have you been in the Avatar thread ? especially with the news about Biehn:cmad::cwink:

I'm hoping we see Tony Stark become Iron Man at about the 45 minute mark, but I'm guessing it will be a bit farther than that.

CAH

Is there an Avatar thread? :o
I´ve not being much attention to the board on the past few days, i´ve been 5 to 10 minutes whenever i can.

Assuming the film is around an hour and a half to two hours, I'd say 30-40 minutes.

That sounds like a good time until they show Tony suit up. But they have to develop the story enough to see him finally suit up unless its him testing it.

Follow the superhero origin film template and do it at the 45 minute mark, unless it's done by flashback.

I say the very last scene in the film.
