I'd just ignore this version of Green Lantern and start over. Do an epic 2 and a half hour film telling the fall of Hal Jordan & Sinestro.

Dump everyone but Mark Strong and start over with Nathan Fillion as Hal and get him to go dark side.

It's too big of an uphill battle to redeem Green Lantern now. It made a really bad first impression on the general public.
