In a moment of absent-mindedness, I walked barefoot on a hot sidewalk yesterday and am currently the owner of two blisters on my feet. This is especially unfortunate because I was recently hired for a job that requires me to stand and walk around for hours at a time. I've been keeping them clean and just put some moleskin bandages around them to reduce friction.

I've heard that popping blisters does nothing to speed up the healing process (and only makes them more susceptible to infection), so I've elected to just leave them alone and let them heal on their own. I'm sorry for sounding disgusting, but the feeling of walking around on two pus-filled bags is quite sickening, and I'd really like to know how long I have to wait until my skin re-absorbs the pus and the blisters start to flatten out.

Just chop off you foot and use a stump. *****es love stumps.

If the pus is really uncomfortable, go ahead and puncture it with a sterilized needle and let it drain.

Yeah, I used to get blisters a lot from running, I'd always pop them, then put a blister bandaid on it. Make sure to open the puncture a little or the pin hole will just close and you'll be no better off.
