the show will last as long as Amell wants to do it. Or if the cw folds.
Yep.
Amell will be 35 in the spring and has said he doesn't want to be doing this at 40.

I totally get the economic argument, fam (Can I call you that?). But as a fan, I'd rather prefer the Breaking Bad way of going out rather than say, Scrubs which sucked balls in the last couple of seasons.
But, ratings is probably king. Or Queen.![]()

My thoughts are that Arrow will be replaced by another character they'll introduce in season 5, and it will be a transition season, or they'll use season 6, but I won't be surprised if its no longer about Green Arrow, and a whole new brand, it would be pretty sick if they could do a teen titan/young justice season.
It would fit the CW motive of having insanely good looking people, but at least have a lot to work with, and some of the cameos etc you could have would just be phenomenal.
I imagine thought CW is like Logan's Run, they kill leading actors when they turn 40 or lose their abs![]()
Stephen confirmed today that he is contracted through 2019.
Read somewhere on social media amell stating season 6 could be the last. Honestly, I think they should shorten the seasons and take out the villian of the week episodes. Would leave for better story telling. With all the gaps and time breaks I forget what happen earlier in the season. Hopefully we get at least 2 more seasons minimum.
Five seasons since it was the original plan and I hope it sticks. Then I hope it spins into the Birds of Prey with Black Canary, Katana, and Huntress.
Where did he say that?
Because there's really no reason at all CW would cancel Arrow. They only have three shows capable of drawing anything above a 0.7 rating for a full season.
