I raise this question, because this is not the first time that a relatively major cameo has come onto the show, and quite literally, done nothing but provide a small distraction from the central plot of the episode. Anyone remember the totally pointless episode with batista (except for the last 5 seconds of the epi).

What's with these over inflated cameos?

Honestly, Tori Spelling is not a major cameo. She is really a nobody who got ahead bc of her famous daddy. She is now selling her stuff bc she has no money, so I doubt it took much money or convincing to get her on the show. This is the only work she has had besides the crappy little VH1 series that sucked.

Batista did make up for them using Lil Bow wow!!!

I honestly thought for a second while watching it that Tori Spelling was actually a guy in drag.

Lol, she was really one of the Wayans brothers dressed as a White Chick.

They should take that excess cameo money and put it toward flight dammit

true that. Batista and Spelling were a total waste of money. One could have hired two bit actors to play those roles, and use the saved money to plug in some action, especially in the totally pointless batista episode (yes, the MMH was cool, but his 5 second character cameo didn't make up for the rest of the epi)

I seriously doubt either Batista or Spelling cost all that much money to get on the show. Batista was for cross-promotional purposes with another show on the Network, and he admittedly couldnt agree to do it fast enough. I'd assume his appearance most likely fell under part of the WWE"s TV contract for doing promotions.

As for Spelling, I believe that either she or her company signed some kind of development deal with the CW and that may have been part of the agreement. Like I said in my review, let's face it she's not really culturally relevant at the moment nor does she bring an audience with her, so CW wasn't getting a whole lot out of putting her into the episode. She probably wasnt paid much more than a regular actor with a speaking part.

I don't think much was spent at all. I imagine she called them or something. Apparently when her father passed her stepmom got everything (I know this only from what I've heard from others). I'm sure she legitimately needs the money.
