BvS How should Superman win the Peoples trust in the movie?

what I think will happen is public opinion does drop,aided by Lex's propaganda and perhaps even Lex creating a doppleganger that does bad things that Superman gets blamed for. Then Supes gets taken out of action. Whether he is just captured,"killed" or imposes a self-exile because the world rejects him I'm not sure. I personally think Bruce is involved and Lex captures him. Everyone thinks he's dead. Even Bruce.
And there's a while that he's gone and things get pretty bad. During this time the league is starting to form. Other meta humans start to come into the light. Eventually they learn the truth about Clark's situation and they bust him out. They expose the truth and the world loves him again.

I rather Superman defend the choices he made than apologize for them.

...I don't think Superman should apologize either. He will probably, do to his modesty, take responsibility for "being the target" and bringing Zod here.

I think Lois and the Daily Planet will defend him to the media, maybe as the only source of positive media at first. (Gotta build the relationship associating Superman with the Daily Planet.)

I don't think he should help rebuild, like plastering walls or cleaning up with the exception of getting his ship out of the city and other Kryptionian debris... which is when he discovers that "some is missing ! "
