A story from Roose and I's sabbatical.
Reek awoke to a cold splash of water hitting him in the face. His head hurt. A lot. He had difficulty breathing and thought that perhaps one or more of his ribs had been broken. Only darkness greeted him, darkness and two small glowing dots staring back at him. His thoughts were a tangle of pain and confusion but the old Tusian training kicked in and he begun to access the situation he currently found himself in. His hands and feet were bound to a chair, and all of his gear had been stripped from him.
"You're looking well Reek, taking good care of your body."
The voice was familiar, one he had known well back in the day. Back when he was younger. "Roose, Christ, you're alive?"
A slow, cold laugh echoed from the darkness."If you want to call this living," he slowly took a few steps forward and a lightbulb burst into light above him. A first Reek's eyes struggled to adjust but after a moment he began to see the shape of something before him. Tall and metallic, a creature stood over him. It had steel feet like a bird of prey and had long, razor sharp claws in place of hands. Various wires and circuitry moved in and about the metal plates and a faint hum emanated from the being. Amongst the cold metal was a human face, or rather, what was left of the face after it had been bonded with cold steel. There was no eyes, only crimson optic sensors.
"My god..what have you become?"
Roose laughed. "I am what you have made me, you banned me, destroyed my body and left my floating carcass to rot inside a black hole....but you never counted on C.Lee having satellites up there did you?" the creature turned and began to circle Reek. "The original prototype was a satellite that could cannibalize and absorb other machines and gain their information and properties, but when it came across my organic matter it bonded with me at a cellular level and gave me life once again!"
Reek frowned at that, his mouth tasting of blood. "So you decided to join up with C. Lee is that? I seem to recall you hating him just as much as I did back in the day."
His red optics blazed. "Yes well, C.Lee is only a means to an end. His time will come too, dont worry but first I shall take my vengeance upon those who betrayed me."
"You asked to be banned, you couldn't hack it any more and demanded that we put you down!"
Roose's face twisted into a mask of fury and grabbed Reek by the throat with his sharp talons. "You should have helped me! Yet you let Reek and Sexton burn me away!" slowly he let go before turning away. "But it makes no difference, once I get my hands on those pictures of Maisie Williams I shall awaken Rogue and rebuild a new world on the ashes of RGI. Then the Hype, and then the whole damned world."
"You're a monster Roose, and my agents will stop you."
