Hey guys,

I'm wanting to know of a good program I can use to capture some video off of a local news website. We are doing a video project for school and would like to use some of the video for B-Roll.

I've tried WM Recorder, but it only will capture the short advertisement before the video.

I really need the video clip in an .AVI format so that it will easily upload in my editor.

Thanks

Since I'm tired of getting vids from sites and then having to convert 'em and all that--I just record the screen (a small area, actually) and then save it as an .avi vid and everyone's happy :woot:

It's safe, once in a while it doesn't want to download the video but if you keep trying it will.

Here introduces some good ways to capture video from news site.

For example, If you are using Firefox as your browser, the easiest way to download videos from web I think is to use one of available free plug-in called “video downloadhelper”. It is a free Firefox plugin, which helps you rip videos from website including youtube, dailymotion, vevo, vimeo etc.
