How to stop automatic backspacing/delete.

you know how you sometimes are typing a word, you go back to correct the spelling or whatever,you delete the wrong letter(that caused the misspelling) but you also end up deleting the next letter and evetually the entire word, how the hell do you get that stop?

It has to do with the insert or delete key. Press insert once, see if it corrects it.

This sounds similar when I press tab and backspace it goes to the previous page. But I usually press tab to change the lines im typing on.
