I've been told to come and post this here:

Hey, I did a quick search but couldn't find if anyone has asked this before.
Basically, I've been sold a comc book and it was pretty expensive because it's apparently first print, or first edition, I don't know which of those is the right term.
I was wondering how I can tell if it really is a first print, possibly using the ISBN on the back?

I did get one reply on the old thread, saying that it usually says on the barcode or on the first page where it says where and when it was printed. Mine doesn't say.

I've been googling it and I found that the second edition has a different cover to mine.
Dunno if it helps, but it's Batman Mad Love and the date of printing is February 1994.

If you open the comic (or most comics) there is a little spiel on the bottom of the page (usually the page with the storyline title) which gives some company/copyright and some print details.

This varies from company to company. Dark Horse has their publication info on the reverse side of the cover.

Hope this helps.

Scribble,

The 1st print looked like this:

The 2nd (and oddly enough more VALUABLE) printing had a prestige type binding and the cover looked like this:

Either way, I hope you didn't spend more than $20-40. They are easily found on eBay.
