Infinity War How/Why are there two Infinity Gauntlets?

I wouldn't trust Hulk with an infinity stone. He's too unpredictable. He can't even control his own power. Starlord dropped the orb, so no, he out of the group as well. I would replace Star-Lord and Hulk with Captain Marvel and Vision.
You may be right on Hulk, but I think Marvel would want their 6 biggest heroes wielding the Stones at that point. The Star-lord thing was just a gag, he held the Stone fine at the end of the film.

Lol, maybe the left hand one Thanos has holds the Infinity STONES, while the right hand one on Asgard holds the Infinity GEMS.

It looks good though. Why change it?

Idk, just thought maybe they would've wanted to update the design and put it through a thorough design process, since the one from Thor was just meant to be an easter egg.

I don't even understand why there is an Infinity Gauntlet in existence in the first place. In the comics, Thanos collected the Infinity Gems and attached them to his own gauntlet, which then became the Infinity Gauntlet. There's nothing special about it until the Infinity Gems are attached. But in the movies there's a special gauntlet made for containing the Infinity Stones, and that it is apparently needed in order to effectively wield them. That seems kind of silly. Thanos should be able to wield the Stones just by holding them in his hand, if he wanted to.

We saw in both Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: The Dark World that direct exposure to the Gems is not a smart idea. Even in AOU they were worried that the Mind Gem would explode and kill a bunch of people if the truck Vision was in crashed.

Contact with the power stone would kill all but the strongest beings. Jane Foster had the Aether inside her, and felt just a little woozy. Jane Foster must be a complete badass.

Tbf she had a god inside her before that.

I think Marvel should turn the reins over to the new characters instead. Vision has the mind stone. Dr. Strange had the time stone the comics, so the same might happen on the movies.

Space- Thor
Time- Dr. Strange
Mind- Vision
Soul- Captain America
Reality- Scarlet Witch
Power- Captain Marvel

Having an avenger each wield a stone seems kinda silly and cliche I think

The gauntlet is only means to hold the gems. Other than that you could destroy and make an Infinity Hat or Infintiy Belt or Infinity Armor. Do you think pants would look nice on Thanos? That's way off topic.

Two Gauntlets for each hand would...they could...., I'm not sure how that'd work out.

Everytime I read these threads about the infinity gauntlet I say the same thing about the gauntlet only being the place thanos put the gems. It could have easily have been a boot or infinity cowl. Finally some people who speak my language.

as far as to why there are two, I say it is because you can sell more gauntlet toys if you make a left and right handed version.

What if those gems in the Odin's gauntlet are what is needed to house the actual Stones? Therefore all Thanos has to do is take thoses gems, destroy that gauntlet, then use them to withhold the stones' powers and forge them into his gauntlet.

Well, 1.) it was stated that the Aether acts differently and seeks out "host bodies" or something like that, and 2.) it was slowly killing her, and Thor even told Loki that if he had it, it would kill him too.

I think the thing with the Aether is it appears to respond differently to organic matter in that it could keep itself almost dormant in Jane and then under control of a being who understood it expand exponentially. It seems as though it acts like a virus.

That seems cheesey. Like Captain Planet.

Ya I agree that the Aether seemed to play by different rules, which makes sense since it is different from the other Stones.

Don't insult Captain Planet. Captain Planet'll kick your ass.

Hi. What cartoon is your avvy from?

It looks like it's from the 2nd season of the 1994 Fantastic Four Animated Series. The 2nd season had completely different animation then the first.

That is correct. I loved the sound Blackbolt made when he speaks in that episode. It is season 2 of the 1994 series. It is called the sentry sinister.
