Howard Cantour.com (Shia LaBeouf)

Wow. Someone hates online critics.

Honestly, those kind of critics exist. But well written film criticism that is not all about stroking the writer's ego (or in this case consoling his loneliness) is always valued in the marketplace. I both see LaBeouf's point, but find this a simplistic reaction to him receiving his own bad reviews. Of course, he likely would not like me writing that either.

Seriously how did he think no one would call him on that?

Random theory: LeBeouf hired some screenwriter to ghost write him a project with a pitch like "I want to make a movie about all of these internet critics," and the screenwriter trolled him, assuming it would get noticed along the way, but it just never did?

yeah i am 100% sure that LaBeouf hired someone to writte this. there is no way that Shia is THAT stupid . nooooo way.
i know that the internet community hates him because he was in transformers and in Indiana Jones 4. but he is not that stupid.

But the problem is that Shia has mentioned that he's a fan of Daniel Clowes in the past. No matter what, he comes off as stupid. It doesn't matter if he didn't know or not.

To not credit the dude who you supposedly idolized, then plagiarized for verbatim and not even credited, is such a low point for a guys like Shia.

Also while this may be the first time he's tried his hand at directing, its a bit disingenuous to try and excuse your behavior by referring to yourself as an "amateur film maker" after spending much of your life working in the industry.

Everything I hear about LaBeouf makes him sound like a first class tool, this ads to that perception.

Well you know he's also an Actual Cannibal, on top of everything else.

2 seconds after making that joke I remembered that the guy who made the "Actual Cannibal Shia LaBeouf song is named Rob Cantor very similar to what Shia changed the name of the critic character in his film to. Bizarre.

Just wait until Optimus finds out about this. He will be VERY disappointed.

Oh, jesus. Even those so called 'apology' tweets are ridiculous. Grade-A *****e bag.

Lol. Just read about this. The problem isn't he is a plagiarist , or a prick for not crediting the author. He simply is dumb as a rock .

What a jackass!

if this is true he is not dumb. he is an imbecile

Did... Did he plagiarize his APOLOGY as well?!

Merely copying isn't particularly creative work, though it's useful as training and practice. Being inspired by someone else's idea to produce something new and different IS creative work, and it may even revolutionalize the "stolen" concept.
The hell?

He doesn't know when to stop, does he?

While I agree inspiration is one thing to take from other creative people, even mimicking them, it's not the same as wholesale plagarism of their work like this.
