After one elimination and an anger-inducing hiatus, we are back with one far out show!

THIS... IS HYPE! IDOL!

Nine cats left from last weeks show, and they're hoping to groove their way into next week to be one step closer to becoming the first Hype! Idol.

We thought we'd entertain you bad mamma jammas with a theme that's so crazy, so cool - it just had to be Disco!

Our judges, Colossal Spoons, DBella and Erzengel are back to asses our contestants on just how well they honor that Shiny Ball era of arm-whippin' music.

Unfortunately, Showtime won't be here to present this funky display of music love, but know that he had a hand in creating that which you see before you. You've witnessed some of my horrid attempts at Disco Lingo? Yeah, that's Showtime's doing. And there's only more to come. :down

Break out those bell-bottoms and that disco ball while we hear a word from our sponsors.

I’d like to present a blast from the past, Disco Stu:

Usually Disco Stu doesn’t advertise but I will certainly boogie down for Bamfer and Showtime, and of course Disco Stu likes disco music. I knew that I better be here or be square, can you dig it?

Disco Stu doesn’t want any of you posters to break foul on the contestants because that would be a bummer. None of these far out participants deserve to be burned, so here is the skinny, you bug out on them and Disco Stu will call you out. Dig?

Disco Stu also wants you to know that disco record sales were up 400% for the year ending 1976?

Welcome back you fine felines. JP starts out the night, but will he [[]Rock the Boat[/I] with this Hues Corporation classic?

JP - Rock the Boat, Hues Corporation

So, judges, did he rock your boat tonight?

Colossal Spoons: "Haha, awesome performance. You're doin great so far"

DBella: “You rock, baby! I really enjoy your performance and I hope to see you back here next week.”

Erzengel: “This song really suits you. There was some weak points by overall, I thought you did an extremely well edition. Good job.”

Cmill216 really thinks You Should be Dancing. Here he is with that Bee Gee‘s hit.

Cmill216 - You Should be Dancing, Bee Gees

Did you take his suggestion, judges?

Colossal Spoons: “Good job dawg, no more long notes for you though lol.”

DBella: “A mellow version, huh? I think you did quite a fine job singing the song in notes that suit your range. I like it.”

Erzengel: “For a song that's sung very high, I think you did a decent job with a lower tone. Very nice.”

Next up, Merk is going to take us to Funky Town with Lipps Inc. and possibly a rodent or two.

Merk - Funky Town, Lipps Inc.

Hey judges, was it funky?

Colossal Spoons: "Haha, you shouldn't have done the Chipmunks version. Still fun though"

DBella: “Love this song choice! You took me to Funky Town... almost. I don't think that you're really feelin' it. If you had sang the song like you're having fun, you'd be da bomb!”

Erzengel: “I love this song. I think you did a decent job but I felt you could have done this a little bit better.”

Shlee gets down with Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.

Shlee - I Will Survive, Gloria Gaynor

Judges, will she survive?

Colossal Spoons: "Orlando Jones made this song one of my favs in The Replacements and you did it justice. You needed to sound a little more passionate though, like a woman who really will survive! Great job as usual.”

DBella: “Another attention-grabbing performance from you. Although I don't think it's as strong as your Week 1 performance, I still think you did a GREAT job. You're one of my Top 2 picks. Love ya, Shlee!”

Erzengel: “Another outstanding performance. I was almost disappointed that you weren't participating this week. But, once again you set the standard.”

Star competes with ABBA to be your Dancing Queen.

Star - Dancing Queen, ABBA

What do you think, judges?

Colossal Spoons: “Really good job. The song may have been a little high for you though. But it's ok, Grimlock loves you”

DBella: “It sounds like you put in more effort this time than you did last week, and it shows. You're a little out of tune but I think it could be due to singing the song that's a bit above your range. I think if you were to sing it a note or two lower, you'd be much better. Great effort though.”

Erzengel: “I wasn't feeling this in the beginning but you brought it up and I think you put more effort into this song than last week. Good job.”

Next up we‘re going to Boogie Wonderland with Majik1387 and Earth, Wind & Fire.

Majik1387 - Boogie Wonderland, Earth, Wind & Fire

Did it make you want to boogie, judges?

Colossal Spoons: “Nice work dude”

DBella: “I enjoyed listening to this quite a bit. It's like... Disco on Broadway.”

Erzengel: “Pretty outstanding performance. This week was definitely up your alley with the Disco theme.“

Who does Monster blame it on? Like Mick Jackson, he thinks he should Blame it on the Boogie!

Monster - Blame it on the Boogie, Mick Jackson

Hey cool cats, was it hot?

Colossal Spoons: “Damn, you are soooo British lol. I liked it”

DBella: “I thought the performance was highly energetic and a good representation of what Disco's about. At least to me. It makes me wanna get off my seat and... boogie! Well done!”

Erzengel: “This was really decent, some parts felt a little flat, but you put a lot of effort into it and I think I liked this better than your previous performance.”

And here‘s that soulful knowsbleed with Jamiroquai’s Alright.

knowsbleed - Alright, Jamiroquai

Was it just alright or was it slammin‘?

Colossal Spoons: "This is your type of song "

DBella: “When I thought 'Disco', I admit that I didn't think of 'Disco Revival' but this is good and you're groovin'! Good effort.”

Erzengel: “Alright seems to be how I feel about your performance. I wasn't blown away by your rendition and if you make it past this week, I'm not sure how you will do in next week's competition.”

ObakeTora ends the night groovin‘ with George Benson‘s Give Me the Night.

ObakeTora - Give Me the Night, George Bensonhttp://media.putfile.com/Hypeidolround3

Judges?

Colossal Spoons: “Amazing as usual lol”

DBella: “Whoa! Mama mia! :wow: From the beginning til the end you're absolutely brilliant! I get goosebumps listening to you, in a very good way. OUTSTANDING! We have a winner!”

Erzengel: “Another amazing performance. I think you have given the best showing this week. Thumbs up!!!”

Done listening to all of tonight's performances? Then you're ready to vote.

How am I suppose to watch Hype! Idol when Iron Man is on American Idol tonight!?

Well he isn't on yet so I listened already, good job again everybody, seems like this week will be close.

Bee Jees? Who the flip are the Bee Jees?

Maybe if I make it next week we'll have a cooler song choice selection. :ninja:
