Hype Survivor HYPE SURVIVOR 19: Creepy on a Whole New Level - Day 8: eXiles

Actually, challenges do have their place. I'm not saying anything else as I'm actually still playing right now.

:csad:

Yeah, I know, that was boring.:csad:

You'd be suprised how hard it is to mastermind this game. Its the opposite of boring. There are so many balls in the air that you have to keep juggling and one little slip and everything falls apart.

Matt likes balls.

Don't fran... it can't be understood with anything less than experience, or pre-determined skill. It's not something that can be taught. Unless I teach it to you... but you're an enemy, and I'm Kipobe.

:cmad:

I'm studying this thread.

Don't read into things too much. Different games, different players, different strategies. What works in one game will fall apart on the first day in another.

Though its a testament to how utterly forgettable Kipobe and Holly's game was.

Plus, you have to factor in profile and your own strategies being learnt. I mean, Brodie went through a period where he was knocked off the first day every game... kinda like Movies is going through right now. Will they be better players down the line? Brodie made the final 4 in the last game. Movies could still bounce back and win a game (snicker).

Each game, day, and player presents a different outlook on how the game can and should be played. A good player doesn't just have a standard strategy that can overcome all those things, because no such strategy exists. A good player knows how to adapt and play each challenge individually, and then progress as the game itself progresses.

I thnk every game is forgettable. If you remember a game, you usually remember it for the bad things that happened in it... not the good.

Agreed

Also, good point about different games and periods bring different results...I have had games where I went to the final 3 and games where I went out first. You just can't always predict what will happen, what other players will do, etc.

Exactly. The first day is usually do or die. You have no real idea of who's for your or against you, and it's like everyone is just throwing their chips in the pile without getting a peak at their hand... but that first council is very telling.

You kinda remember the ones you play well in.

I've been involved with 7. I don't remember the 2 I was knocked out early from.

A lot of the time in the first day, I will do one of two things. Either step up as a leader and then if we win, take credit for it. Or I will try to find a mistake by another player and exploit it. Last game for example, Enterthemadness sent out a PM promoting team unity on the first day...I told everyone that he was planning to betray us for the other team. He goes home, I'm seen as a uniter. Then again, what a difference a day makes. The next day I try to break up the Colossal/Pickles alliance without realizing Jewhob was in with them...I go home.

I learned my greatest lesson in the last Survivor, go with your gut. I knew knew knew I should have booted Brodie, but Maxwell was pissed at me for booting Kypade and I tried to make amends. Kipobe did the exile thing and my whole plan went down the toilet.

what the hell is that freaking thing in your avatar?
