I haven't noticed that yet

Last weekend someone organized a big Pokeraid at the oceanfront here and I went just to check it out with a friend. Over 1,000 people showed up, maybe closer to 1500. All things aside and it being stupid hot outside, it was pretty fun. There were people of all ages, races, nationalities out there and the energy was good. I saw younger and older couples, groups of friends, families playing together etc. there was a grandma and her daughter out playing together who were really cute. You could tell Grandma didn't really understand the craze or the game much but you could tell she really enjoyed her time with her granddaughter and her granddaughter really enjoyed playing and explaining to her about it and showing her what she's caught.
There were 15 lures active the whole time on the boardwalk. Maybe 20+ if you count the next block over.

Lots of local businesses are getting in on the deal, offering discounts etc. I got 20% off my bill at a pizza place for catching a Pokemon in there.
The local mall is having a Raid of its own this weekend, with prizes etc and downtown last night there was a big one sponsored by SevenVenues with a costume contest, vendors, music, prizes etc

And to answer the question from earlier, I've caught 61 so far

This happens to me constantly with charmander and bulbasaur. What I really hate is when you spontaneously come across a great pokemon without it ever having been on the radar, watching your friends catch it and then have yours run away

That happened with an aerodactyl recently

Aside from bulbasaur I haven't seen any of those. The one I want the most is a Blastoise cu it's my favorite.

The strongest one I have right now is a 879 Tauros. And an 834 Tangela

College Baseball Player Calvin Riley Killed While Playing 'Pokemon Go'

The circumstances are still murky and it might have merely been coincedental.

Calvin Riley, a college baseball player at San Joaquin Delta College in California, was shot and killed Saturday in San Francisco while playing "Pokemon Go."

He was 20.

Sgt. Robert Jansing of the U.S. Park Police told Matt Hamilton of the Los Angeles Times that Riley was shot at 10 p.m. ET by an unknown gunman. He is believed to be the only victim, and officers are still investigating what led to the shooting.

"There doesn't appear to be any outstanding motive right now," said Jansing, who said Riley was not robbed in the attack.

Gabriel Antonio Morales, Riley's cousin, has set up a GoFundMe page that has raised over $36,000 since being set up Sunday, which will help pay for funeral costs.

"I know you moved [to California] to pursue your dreams of one day making it to the league and you had all the mechanics, talent and dedication to make your dreams a reality," Morales wrote. "But all that was taken by a coward who wanted to shoot up a Pokestop. I wish I got to talk to you one more time. I would've told you how much I loved you and missed you. How bad I look forward to seeing you again."

Riley, who grew up in Massachusetts, graduated in 2015 from Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, California. He was a pitcher at San Joaquin Delta, a community college that has produced seven MLB draft picks since 2010.

Police have not determined whether Riley's murder was related to Pokemon Go, the GPS-based mobile game that has soared to prominence since debuting in July.

You think they run now, wait till you hit 21. 2 throws and any high CP pokemon are gone. I had a 560 CP Eggsecute the other day, hit with a razz berry and an Ultra ball with curve both times and still did that to me. Really pissed me off because that would have given me enough candy to evolve that bad boy into a dope Eggsecutionar.

Needless to say I was hot.

That doesn't work anymore. Had one I wanted for another high CP Vapereon and instead it evolved into the fire one. Must have fixed it after the last update. And that "hack" is lame, good luck throwing them straight to catch high CP ones, if you're not throwing curveballs you're gonna have a bad time. I had to learn to throw my curves to the left since I droped my phone and cracked the right side of my screen.

i appreciate that they're trying to make is safer and make people more alert with the notifications, but this whole "you're going to fast, you better not be driving" thing that comes up constantly when i already said i was the passenger.

75k to hit level 22. I just have not been playing at all recently. Too damn busy and then I'll remember at the end of wherever I was walking that I should've popped it out haha. I'm a horrible trainer. If these pokemon were real pretty sure mine would be dead by now. :P
