I <3 the Venture Bros.

I never said he was anti-social, just a man of few words. In the first season he started talking more, pretty much out of necessity to keep him from becoming a one note character.

Actually, he was anti-social. Manstrong put his hand on his shoulder and Brock beat the crap out of him.

Wait, which episode was that? I can't recall. Anyway, the whole "want to get a bite to eat" thing seemed fine to me.

It was in the third episode called "Careers in Science," where they visit the Gargantua-1 space station.

Bud Manstrong, remember? Of course, that was only the second episode...
I just got the season one DVD in the mail. Go me. I find that Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer sound and act the same.

They acknowledged on the DVD acting the same and having the exact same sense of humor, which is why they're able to write parts of a single episode seperately without the need for too many meetings.

Yeah, but listening to the commentary tracks, I could not tell them apart. They might as well be one guy. It boggles the mind. It reminds me of the sneaking suspicion I used to have that the Question is my long lost twin brother, or something.
They did briefly reveal something that might happen this season;
Doc Venture: "Gotta get more crap for the shrink ray."
Which also reminds me,
look out for lots of Mr. White and Billy Quizboy. Doc and Jackson said they were told not to use them, and thus tried to use them as much as possible.

Also, on the subject of Brock: He was pretty nice and sociable in Return to Spider-Skull Island.

I didn't really have too much trouble telling them apart since because you can hear in their who they play. You can could often hear Hank or Pete White's voice in McCullock's, or Billy Quizboy's in Hammer's.

I don't think they confirmed if White and Quizboy were actually going to be in more episodes. They just said that they received notes not to use them, so they tried to use them even more. No word on whether they actually got into a lot more episodes than in Season one after production was done.

And I already acknowledged that Brock got more personable as the series went on, too keep him from becoming a 2 dimensional, flat character.

It'll naturally get bumped once the next episode airs.

I know, I had to shrink it to 75 pix wide and take it down to like 9 colors to get it within the size limitations for SHH. :(

No, I only saved it at the current quality. I still have the clip, though.

I don't think I'd count that as a cameo since it was a parody of F4. But there was also Race Bannon!:D

I wasn't that impressed with "Hope Floats." It was good, and better than most other adult comedy cartoons by leaps and bounds, but not quite up to the Venture standard, in my opinion. I totally see WallCrawl's point about Brock being *****fied this season after this episode. He was this uber-knowledgeable badass spy last season, but this season he doesn't even know how to control a simple jetpack and he's laid out by a gunshot and a single dart? He took like 50 of those darts and got hit by a truck in the first season.

Anyway, that's minor. The rest of the episode was just kind of off to me. Things didn't feel quite right. Doc Venture's seething, underlying hatred of the boys was replaced by some weird need to get Dean a "speed suit" (although I admit, the fondling part was pretty funny), for one thing. I don't know, maybe I'll like it more when I watch it again in half an hour.
