Ozymandias should not be killed in the film. Snyder alludes to that he was disappointed when the graphic novel ends and our "heroes" never take out Ozymandias. Between this and the fact that an Ozy death was in David Hayter's script, there seems to be a good chance Ozymandias will be killed in the film.
I've even heard rumors that Nite Owl will be the one that kills Ozy

I just don't think it works well if Ozy is killed. The whole point is that he's not really a villain, but in fact all of them have tried so hard to save what they love so much that they have actually all caused more harm to the world (which is what I thought was the point of including the Black Freighter story in the novel).

It's been confirmed for quite some time that Ozy survives.

I wasnt aware this was even a possiblity.
First, No space Squid and now maybe Veidt'll be killed? Jesus... What's Snyder up to, sabotaging the finale like this?
It's like he's serving up a huge, delicious ice cream sundae for us all to enjoy then sticking a turd at the bottom of it...

I hope Rorschach dies it made me so mad but it made the book for me.

I don't recall Snyder ever saying something like this. (Though I could certainly be mistaken)

Ozymandias is not killed in this flick. Period. I have never heard Snyder say anything close to that he was disappointed in Ozy not dying.

It wasn't Snyder, it's how it was in(I think) the most recent script.

But a lot of times during filming he's gone back to the book instead of looking toward the script or storyboards, and as far as I've heard he's long done away with Ozzy's death.

And the Nite Owl killing Veidt scene was going to have this lame thing where that moon looking thing on his belt is used like a batarang, and throws it at Adrian, misses him, then he says something like, "The thing about owl's is, you never see them coming" or something like that, then it comes back and impales Veidt.

WAY corny, but I'm 99.998% sure they've done away with that all.

Veidt dies in every draft of the script that is available on the internet, but from all of Snyder's comments, it's been changed for the actual movie. He never said anything about being disappointed that Veidt survived. Either the OP is misinformed, or he's making up **** to stir trouble.

DAMN I would have LOVED for Ozy to die in the film :( That was pretty much my only complaint after reading the book...personally I just love it when the villain has a cool 'send off' at the end of a movie/comic/whatever the case may be.

Can someoen please tell me how Ozy dies off? Does he have different deaths in certain drafts? I was unaware that they would have actually killed him that's awesome I hope he dies in the final cut of the film...I'm just curious as to how?

ozy's ultimate fate is to see his excellence unravell before his eyes or keep up the pretence and suffer and enternity of restless nights...

death is such an easier option for him to have...

I'll be pissed if.. if.. hmm let me think.. s**t, I mustn't be a true fan--can't find anything to b***h about :csad:

In one of the earlier scripts, Nite Owl killed him with an owlarang. Preceded by a punchline, of course.

a completely corny punchline having to do with owls...if veidt dies then im gonna seriously hate the ending due to my precious squid already being removed

it has been 100% confirmed that ozy lives its not watchmen if he dies

What do you mean?

i think that having nite owl kill adrian kinda change a lot of things from the book... when everyone see that adrian was "right" about what he did they all agreed to let things be like this and keep shut about this... except for rorschach... it has to end with manhattan telling veidt nothing ever ends and veidt not being sure anymore about what he did... i can live with the squid out... its part of the book but in the movie you got to introduce how it was done and all and im pretty sure it has been cut... but i couldnt stand seeing veidt die by the hand of nite owl... that would be too much derivative from the book from my perception...

Yeah, Ozy should'nt be killed. Seeing him after Jon says "nothing ever ends" with a scared face wondering if he did the right thing was great for me. I hope it plays out like that in the movie.

Ive always wondered why Ozy dreams of the black freighter. Sometimes i wonder if that was the comic the kid was reading at all? or was it all Ozy's dream.

Honestly if you can't find anything to complain about, I have to ask you did you even read and/or understand the series??

Also what's up with folks being all "I'm 100% sure" about anything in this flick, I had some dude telling me in other threads about some script by an "Orci and Kurtzman" being the most accurate one but in order to believe that you would have to believe that they wrote it, Snyder shot it, and then they decided to put Hayter and Tse's names at the end of trailer credits

The squid, while I rather have it in the movie, really isn't the most important thing to me. As long as Ozy makes a master plan to kill millions, get away with it, and have the heros at odds about it, then I'll be happy.

Oh, and the last scene with Rorschach's diary HASSSS to be in the movie. That to me is knowing that the "all masterful" Ozy really didn't get away with it, and it sums up the overall theme of "who watches the Watchmen".
